摘要： A variable magnification electrostatic copying apparatus includes a stationary transparent plate for placing thereon a document to be copied, an optical system including a first reflecting mirror assembly adapted to be moved reciprocally along the transparent plate, a second reflecting mirror assembly adapted to be moved reciprocally at a speed equal to one-half of the moving speed of the first reflecting mirror assembly and a lens assembly to be held at any one of a plurality of positions corresponding to a plurality of projecting ratios, and a projecting ratio changing device for moving the lens assembly and the second reflecting mirror assembly so as to change the projecting ratio of the optical system. The projecting ratio changing device includes a drive source in the form of a stepping motor, a control for controlling the operation of the drive source, a setting member for moving the second reflecting mirror assembly, a first power transmission system interposed between the drive source and the setting member and a second power transmission system interposed between the drive source and the lens assembly. The second reflecting mirror assembly is moved through the first power transmission system and the setting member, and the lens assembly is moved through the second power transmission system. An exposure correcting device includes plural plates movable between non-operating positions to respective operating positions controlling the area of exposure. The control includes high and low speed rotating plates and optical detectors for detecting positions thereof and for controlling the stepping motor.

摘要： A sheet feeding system for an image-forming machine includes a main body having a conveying passage therethrough for guiding sheet materials and a hand insertion feed table pivotally attached to the main body for movement between a feed position in which it can be used to feed sheet materials into the conveying passage and a storage position. The sheet feeding system also includes a separate feed unit which, when the table is in its storage position, can be aligned with the main body so that sheet materials can be fed therefrom into the conveying passage. The conveying passage guides sheet materials to either a receiving section, a sorter or back into the introduction opening of the conveying passage so as to form overlapping images. An auxiliary receiving member is pivotally mounted in the receiving section for movement between a first position in which it acts to guide sheet materials from the conveying passage into the receiving section and a second potion in which it acts to guide sheet materials either to the sorter or back into the introduction opening of the conveying passage. An upper cover member is also pivoted to the main body and acts as both a cover and a guide member.

摘要： A cleaning device for use on a transfer type electrostatic copying apparatus includes a magnetic brush cleaning device for cleaning off a magnetizable toner remaining on a photosensitive material after a transfer operation. A brush roller is disposed between the magnetic brush cleaning device and a transfer zone. A brush is arranged on a peripheral surface of a cylindrical sleeve of light transmitting material and is driven for rotation in contact with the photosensitive material. A charge eraser lamp is secured within the cylindrical sleeve. The charge on the photosensitive material or photoreceptor is almost completely erased, and consequently, the cleaning efficiency is markedly improved owing to the facilitated removal of the developing material by the magnetic brush.

摘要： An image-forming machine includes a detachably mountable process unit. The process unit has a rotatable drum having an electrostatographic material thereon, a corona discharger, a developing device and a cleaning device. The developing device includes a development housing for holding a developer, a developer applicator for applying the developer to the electrostatographic material, and an agitating device for stirring the developer in the development housing. An agitating member of the agitating device is arranged to prevent damage of the agitating device due to forces resisting agitation motion by the agitating member. The developer applicator has a sleeve member for holding a developer on its surface, and a developer regulating blade which regulates the developer layer thickness, on the surface of the sleeve member, to provide an uniform developer thickness in the width direction. The cleaning device includes a toner removing device for removing residual toner from the electrostatographic material, a toner collecting chamber and a toner conveying passage extending from the toner recovery housing to the toner collecting chamber. The toner removing device includes a cleaning blade which, when the process unit is mounted at a predetermined position in the image-forming machine, is moved from a non-operative position away from the electrostatographic material to an operative position wherein it is brought elastically into contact with the electrostatographic material. A toner conveying device having a coil is disposed in the toner conveying passage.

摘要： The present invention relates to a bending machine having a bottom die on which a sheet metal workpiece is supported horizontally in a frame body and an upper die which secures the workpiece by pressing against the bottom die. A bending beam is freely movable in the vertical direction to bend the edges of the workpiece when the workpiece is secured between the top and bottom dies. The bending machine also comprises a die changing system having a plurality of elevator bases each formed with a plurality of stages which store top dies separately and a device for controlling the elevator bases individually to prepare any combination of the top dies stored on the stages and a die exchanging device for furnishing the combination of the top dies in the proper position in the bending machine by transferring it from the stages.

摘要： An original-holding mechanism for an original-support device is disclosed which includes a flexible holding member for covering an original document placed on a transparent plate and a rigid supporting member located outwardly of the original-holding member. One end edge portion of the original-holding member is mounted adjacent to one end edge of the transparent plate. The base portion of the supporting member is mounted for pivotal movement about an axis extending along said one edge of the transparent plate as a center.
