    摘要: A communication control portion (11) performs most of communication processing performed by a communication apparatus (1). The communication control portion (11) also executes communication with another communication apparatus (1) using a communication parameter determined by a communication parameter determination portion (13). A transmission line estimation portion (12) measures characteristics of a transmission line (2) at a predetermined timing and regarding a predetermined section, and estimates the state of the transmission line (2). The communication parameter determination portion (13) newly generates an optimum communication parameter from a plurality of communication parameters obtained based on an estimation result obtained on the transmission line (2) by the transmission line estimation portion (12).

    摘要: A communication apparatus improves the throughput of a whole communication system while performing contention distributed control which provides equality of a transmission chance by observing a medium occupation state. The communication apparatus includes a back-off process section for performing, using a contention window, a regular back-off process which is performed at transmission of a transmission frame and a pseudo back-off process which is performed in a pseudo manner when the transmission frame is not transmitted. The communication apparatus also includes a medium information obtaining section for obtaining, by the pseudo back-off process, medium information indicative of a state of the transmission line medium when the transmission frame is not transmitted, and a medium state determination section for determining the state of the transmission line medium using the medium information to obtain determination information.

Electric apparatuses 48, such as a television monitor and a video recorder, are connected to the master 21 and the slaves 22 through repeaters 31. The master 21 is a control terminal having the function of QoS controller. The master 21 allocates timeslots for transmitting data over a network, acquires information on the actual data transmission rate detected by a data receiving terminal, and modifies the timeslot allocated to target data on the basis of the acquired information on the actual data transmission rate.
