摘要: A communication device and a communication signal generation method are provided that perform receiving input data; and processing the input data according to a determined channel to generate a communication frame. The determined channel corresponds to one of a plurality of channels including at least one first channel defined by a first mode and at least one second channel defined by a second mode. A frequency band of the first channel including subcarriers is different from a frequency band of the second channel including subcarriers. A frequency interval of the subcarriers in the first channel is different from a frequency interval of the subcarriers in the second channel. A number of the first channel(s) in the first mode is different from a number of the second channel(s) in the second mode.

摘要: Activity sensing in the home has a variety of important applications, including healthcare, entertainment, home automation, energy monitoring and post-occupancy research studies. Many existing systems for detecting occupant activity require large numbers of sensors, invasive vision systems, or extensive installation procedures. Disclosed is an approach that uses a single plug-in sensor to detect a variety of electrical events throughout the home. This sensor detects the electrical noise on residential power tines created by the abrupt switching of electrical devices and the noise created by certain devices while in operation. Machine learning techniques are used to recognize electrically noisy events such as turning on or off a particular light switch, a television set, or an electric stove. The system has been tested to evaluate system performance over time and in different types of houses. Results indicate that various electrical events can be learned and classified with accuracies ranging from 85-90%.

摘要: A method and a network node device run Push-Button Configuration sessions within a heterogeneous network, IEEE 1905.1, using a push button configuration mechanism that ensures that only one single new network node device is registered for a single push button key press event and thus overlapping Push-Button Configuration sessions within a heterogeneous network are prevented. After finishing the push button configuration mode, the number of new nodes is checked. If more than one node has been added, a configuration roll-back is performed. Preferably, the push button configuration roll-back is performed as soon as the authentication of more than one distinct node has been detected. The roll-back includes the deletion or deactivation of credentials established by the push-button configuration.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer program products for generating high resolution inferences in electrical networks are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes collecting multiple items of data from one or more data sources arising from a power distribution network, wherein the multiple items of data comprise (i) one or more levels of temporal resolution and (ii) one or more levels of spatial resolution; determining a network topology of the power distribution network based on identification of one or more connections between each of multiple components within the power distribution network; and generating a power flow estimate for one or more nodes within the power distribution network at a pre-determined level of spatio-temporal resolution, wherein said generating comprises applying a model to (i) the multiple items of collected data, (ii) the determined network topology, and (iii) one or more relations constraining the power flow estimate at the pre-determined level of spatio-temporal resolution.

摘要: A slotted message access protocol can be implemented for transmitting short packets. Each beacon period may be divided into multiple time slots. At least one time slot may be assigned to a network device per beacon period based, at least in part, on latency specifications of packets that the network device is configured to transmit. In one example, some of the unassigned time slots may be designated as contention-based time slots. Network devices may contend with each other to gain control of and transmit packets during a contention-based time slot based on the priority level of the packets to be transmitted. Network devices may also use an encryption key and an initialization vector for securely exchanging short packets. Furthermore, a repeater network device may be designated to retransmit a packet, received from an original transmitting network device, during a communication time slot assigned to the original transmitting network device.

摘要: A vehicle charge device performs a pilot communication and an in-band communication via communication lines that are integrated with electric power lines in a charge cable. The charge device includes a master controller that resets a slave controller of an in-band communicator if determined that the charge cable is pulled out from a connector of a vehicle. As a result, the system suffers less frequent in-band communication errors during which an in-band communication is disabled due to a malfunction of a computer for the in-band communication.
