摘要： A motor-driven compressor includes a housing having at one end thereof an accommodation space, an electric motor, a motor driver circuit provided in the accommodation space and having a circuit board, a connector having a bus bar electrically connected to the circuit board, and a cylindrical portion located at the one end of the housing and extending toward the direction close to the electric motor. The housing has a mounting hole communicating with the accommodation space and the interior of the cylindrical portion. The bus bar has a bent shape having opposite ends extended toward the direction close to the electric motor. The connector is disposed in the mounting hole with one end of the bus bar inserted in the cylindrical portion and the other end of the bus bar inserted in the accommodation space. The mounting hole is closed up by a cover with a seal member provided therebetween.

The fixing structure for an electrical component includes a soft material member that is accommodated in the receiving portion to contact the receiving portion and the electrical component. Heat of the electrical component is transmitted to the heat removing member via the soft material member.

The metal plate has bolt insertion holes, through which metal bolts for fixing the inverter cover to a suction housing are passed. The head of each bolt contacts a flange portion, which is the periphery of the corresponding bolt insertion hole. The inverter cover is formed of plastic by being molded in a mold, using the metal plate as a core.

The electric motor is accommodated in the housing. The compression mechanism is accommodated in the housing and operated by the electric motor. The cover member is attached to the housing. The housing and the cover member form an accommodation portion including an accommodation space therein. The motor drive circuit is accommodated in the accommodation space and drives the electric motor. The sealing member is arranged between the housing and the cover member to seal the accommodation space. The sealing member includes an elastic seal portion that comes into close contact with the housing and the cover member. A core sustains the shape of the seal portion in conformance with the circumferential edge of the accommodation space. The core is formed so that at least a circumferential edge part of the core is in conformance with the circumferential edge of the accommodation space. The seal portion is formed integrally with the circumferential edge part of the shape sustaining member by depositing rubber material thereon.
