    摘要: In the toroidal type continuously variable transmission system 100 incorporating a power roller bearing 11 therein, race grooves 15 and 16 respectively formed in the inner and outer races 35 and 13 of the power roller bearing 11 are respectively structured in such a manner as to have an arc-shaped cross section, and the radii of curvatures of the arc-shaped cross sections of race grooves 15 and 16 are set in the range of 52% to 59% of diameter of a rolling ball body which can roll on these race grooves, thereby being able not only to restrict an increase in dynamic torque of the power roller bearing but also to improve life of the power roller bearing.

    摘要: A power roller for a toroidal type continuous variable transmission system comprises a trunnion having a central shaft, a bearing outer race connected to the trunnion, one face of which is provided with a first track groove concentric with the central shaft, a power roller rotatably mounted on one end portion of the central shaft, the power roller having a face opposing to the one face of the bearing outer race, the face being provided with a second track groove concentric with the central shaft, a plurality of rolling elements retained between the bearing outer race and the power roller and capable of rotating within a track formed by the first track groove and the second track groove, and a disk-like cage coaxially disposed between the bearing outer race and the power roller and rotatable about the central shaft, the cage including a plurality of through pockets for accommodating the rolling elements therein so as to retain the rolling elements within the track, the pockets being arranged at regular intervals in the circumferencial direction thereof, wherein the cage being capable of absorbing movement to which the rolling elements is subjected via the trunnion and the bearing outer race in a radial direction thereof.

    摘要: A toroidal type continuous variable transmission system to be used as a transmission of an automobile comprises: an input shaft rotatably actuated by means of a drive source; an output shaft for acquiring power stemming from rotation of the input shaft; a variator which is interposed between the input and output shafts and includes a pair of input disks which rotate on the basis of rotation of the input shaft, a pair of output disks which are provided in a coaxial relationship with the input disks and rotate in synchronous with each other, and power rollers which are provided between the input and output disks while remaining in contact with the disks and which rotate at an angle; a planetary gear mechanism which is interposed between the input and output shafts and includes a sun gear, a ring gear provided around the sun gear, a plurality of planetary gears which are provided between the sun gear and the ring gear so as to be rotatable, and carriers supporting the planet gears; a pressing mechanism which presses the input or output disk against the output or input disk by way of the power rollers; a first power transmission mechanism which transmits the rotation of the output disks to the planetary gear mechanism; and a second power transmission mechanism which transmits the rotation of the input shaft to the planetary gear mechanism.

Also, if the worst should happen, the stability of the running of an automobile is secured. A value is included for controlling so that the difference between oil pressure fed into the first actuator and oil pressure fed into the second actuator may not become great.
