    摘要: A raindrop detecting apparatus has a temperature sensor, an EEPROM, a processor and a raindrop sensor. A temperature characteristic data is defined by a first temperature data of the temperature sensor and a first output data of the raindrop sensor produced at a first temperature condition, and stored in the EEPROM. The processor updates a raindrop detection threshold by using the stored characteristic data, a second temperature data and a second output data produced at a second temperature, when an engine is started under no-raindrop condition. The processor compares an output data of the raindrop sensor with the raindrop detection threshold to detect a raindrop, while converting at least one of the characteristic data and the output data in correspondence with a temperature data produced at a raindrop detection time.

    摘要: A raindrop sensor has a prism body, incoming radiation side plano-convex lens portions each provided on inclined surfaces of the prism body for receiving light from light-emitting elements, and outgoing radiation side plano-convex lens portions provided on inclined surfaces of the prism body for emitting light toward a light-receiving element. The plano-convex lens portions are configured to cause a relatively small number of light-receiving element(s) to receive light from a number of outgoing radiation side plano-convex lens portions. Such a raindrop sensor can be made to have a more structure while employing a widened detection region.

    摘要: An actuator for an engine idling control mechanism, which includes a throttle valve disposed in an intake manifold tube, a slidable plunger unit, a drive mechanism for forcibly sliding the plunger unit, a detecting device for detecting whether the throttle valve is open or closed, and a control unit for controlling the drive mechanism in relation to the detecting device, for properly setting the degree of opening of the throttle valve at the time the engine is idling. The plunger unit is designed in such a way that, when the throttle valve is closed, the plunger unit is pushed by a control lever which is positioned in accordance with the degree of opening of the throttle valve. The drive mechanism can set the degree of opening of the throttle valve through the plunger unit and the control lever. The detecting device includes a pair of magnets and a detector for detecting the magnetic flux of the magnets. The magnets are slidable in the same direction as the plunger unit, and are slid by the plunger unit when the throttle valve is closed, for adjusting the degree of opening of the throttle valve.
