摘要: In a biological signal utilizing appliance, an appliance control section controls the appliance in accordance with user's manipulation. At that time, an operation content is presented to a user through an operation presentation section. A biological signal detection section measures user's biological signal and detects from the biological signal the presence or absence of an event-related potential at the time point when time obtained by adding a predetermined shift time of approximately 150 ms to 600 ms elapses after a timing, as a starting point, when the operation content is presented. Upon detection of the event-related potential, a manipulation cancellation section instructs the appliance control section to cancel the presented operation content.

摘要: A passive matrix light-emitting display panel including, at cross points of a plurality of scan lines and a plurality of data lines which cross each other, light-emitting elements having anode terminals connected to the scan lines and cathode terminals connected to the data lines, respectively, is used. The display panel includes switching units on a scanning drive side to set the scan lines to a scanning selection voltage or a non-scanning selection voltage (ground voltage) and switching units on a data drive side to connect the data lines to ON-drive voltage sources or OFF-drive voltage sources. The ON-drive voltage sources are constituted by sink-type constant current sources which sink ON-drive currents of a light-emitting element in a scanning state from a cathode terminal side of the light-emitting element toward a reference voltage point through the data driver switching units.

摘要: An option which is considered to be desired by a user is determined by using an electroencephalogram interface (IF), and a determination error for the option is detected based on an electroencephalogram. If a determination error is detected, the option is corrected based on the electroencephalogram information which was used for the option determination.A correction apparatus to be incorporated in an electroencephalogram IF system is provided. The electroencephalogram IF system includes a biological signal measurement section, an analysis section for analyzing an event-related potential contained in an electroencephalogram signal of a user, an inference section for inferring an option desired by the user based on a result of analysis, and an output section for presenting the option inferred by the inference section to the user. The biological signal measurement section measures the electroencephalogram signal of the user based on a point of presenting the option to the user as a starting point. The correction apparatus includes: a determination section for determining correctness of the inferred option based on an event-related potential contained in an electroencephalogram signal acquired after inference of the option; and a correction section for, when the inferred option is determined to be incorrect, correcting the inferred option based on the event-related potential before inference of the option and designating a device operation based on the option after correction.

摘要: A brain wave interface (IF) is started up using user's brain wave signals. A brain wave IF system comprises a brain wave measuring portion for measuring brain wave signals, a function controlling portion which analyzes an event-related potential contained in brain signals and outputs a function control signal for controlling the function of the apparatus based on the analysis results, and an output portion for outputting the function control signal. A start-up device comprises a start-up judging portion and a stimulus-attention judging portion. The start-up judging portion transmits, to the output portion, a stimulus control signal for controlling presentation/extinction of a visual stimulus which is a single item in the output portion when the brain wave IF system is not working, and compares a value of a P200 component of the event-related potential starting on a presentation timing of a visual stimulus out of the brain wave signals acquired from the brain wave measuring portion with a predetermined threshold value to determine whether or not to output a start-up trigger to the function controlling portion based on the comparison results. The stimulus-attention judging portion judges whether the user is paying attention to the visual stimulus based on an N100 component of the event-related potential starting on the presentation timing of the visual stimulus and makes the start-up judging portion start processing according to the judgment results. The brain wave IF system is started by the start-up judging portion outputting the start-up trigger.

摘要: In a system having an interface which utilizes electroencephalogram, it is determined whether the user was looking at a menu or not based on the frequency of the user electroencephalogram, and the electroencephalogram is excluded from the subject of distinction in the case where the user is not looking at the menu.A distinction necessity determination apparatus 10 for determining whether or not to perform a distinction of an electroencephalogram signal in an electroencephalogram interface system 1 includes a frequency analysis section 11 for calculating a representative frequency at which frequency power of the electroencephalogram signal becomes maximal, and a determination section 12. Based on a relative quantity between the switching frequency of menu items and the representative frequency of the electroencephalogram signal, the determination section 12 determines whether the representative frequency is related to switching of the menu items or not, and based on the result of determination, outputs to an electroencephalogram interface section 100 an instruction to adjust the distinction method for the electroencephalogram signal to be adopted in the electroencephalogram interface section 100.
