摘要: Electronic devices, displays, and methods are provided for operating an electronic display in coexistence with sensors that could be adversely impacted by the operation of the electronic display. An electronic device may include an electronic display and a sensor. The electronic display may display image content by light emission during an emission period and periodically enter a quiet period in which the light emission of the electronic display is turned off. The sensor may perform sensing operations during the quiet period without interference from the operation of the electronic display.

摘要: Systems and apparatuses for hybrid micro-driver architectures having time multiplexing for driving displays are described. In one embodiment, a display (e.g., hybrid display architecture) includes a backplane and a micro-driver circuitry that is coupled to the backplane. The backplane includes circuitry (e.g., sample and hold circuitry) for sampling and holding analog data and for time multiplexing analog data. The micro-driver circuitry includes at least a capacitor of a ramp generator for generating a ramp voltage based on the analog data of the backplane and drive circuitry to cause at least one emission pulse for emitting a display element.

摘要: A display apparatus time-divisionally expresses gradation values allocated to the sub-frames so that the gradation value of the single frame is expressed by a total of the gradation values of the sub-frames. Each of the plurality of sub-frames includes a plurality of weighted elements with different gradation values to express the gradation values by powers of two. A lighting controller performs control such that the weighted elements in at least one of the plurality of sub-frames in one frame are aligned in an order different from an order of the weighted elements in at least one of the plurality of sub-frames in another frame and, of the plurality of weighted elements in at least one of the plurality of sub-frames in the single frame, the weighted element at the end of the timeline turns OFF a corresponding one of the light emitting elements.

摘要: A retention unit which retains input data, and a light emission control unit which compensates a value of a drive current that flows to a light emission element based on the input data which is retained in the retention unit, are provided in each pixel unit of a display device. While the light emission control unit displays input data of an image of an Nth frame during a light emission period TL (N) by driving the light emission element, input data of an image of an (N+1)th frame is written to the retention unit which becomes a pair together with the light emission control unit, as processing in a write processing period TS (N+1) of the (N+1)th frame.

摘要: A single photon avalanche diode based range detecting apparatus includes a reference array of single photon avalanche diodes configured to receive light from an illumination source via an internally coupled path. A return array of single photon avalanche diodes is configured to receive light from the illumination source via an external free space path. A calibration pulse generator is configured to generate a calibration signal pulse. Readout circuitry is configured to receive an output of the reference array via a reference signal path, an output of the return array via a return signal path, and an output of the calibration pulse generator via a calibration signal path. The readout circuitry is configured to determine a delay difference value between the reference signal path and the return signal path based on the output of the calibration pulse generator via the calibration signal path.
