摘要： A device for detecting data of contents of accompaniment for use in an electronic musical instrument in which the detection of data representing contents of a bass accompaniment is effected independently of the detection of data representing contents of a chord accompaniment, by separately providing a first portion for indicating pitches composing a chord to be performed and a second portion for indicating the lowest pitch of a bass accompaniment pattern in a pitch indicating unit and detecting pitches indicated in the second portion. Thus, data representing contents of a bass accompaniment and data representing contents of a chord accompaniment can be separately detected, whereby the electronic musical instrument can perform a bass accompaniment independent of a chord accompaniment, and thus the variety of a performance can be increased. Further, in the device for detecting data of contents of an accompaniment, bit pattern data representing a chord to be performed as an accompaniment is generated by ORing data representing pitches of a predetermined octave-segment which correspond to pitches indicated by the pitch indicating unit in each octave-segment of the first portion, and the chord to be performed is detected by comparing the bit pattern data obtained as a result of the OR operation with bit pattern data corresponding to various chords stored in a memory, by sequentially shifting the bit pattern data obtained as the result of the OR operation, whereby even a chord in an inversion thereof can be easily and accurately detected.

摘要： An electronic musical instrument, which includes an internal tone generator, a local-on play function, which produces musical tones in consonance with tone data generated by the internal tone generator, and a local-off play function, which externally outputs only an MIDI signal without performing tone production in consonance with tone data generated by the internal tone generator. The instrument comprises first tone information storage for, when the local-on play function is selected, storing a channel that corresponds to tone data, which are generated by the internal tone generator, for each of the tone data; tone-on channel assigning circuitry for employing the tone information, which are stored in the first storage, to specify a channel that corresponds to the tone data generated by the internal tone generator; a further tone generator, which is connected to the tone channel assigning circuitry, for producing a musical tone in consonance with the tone data from the tone-on channel assigning circuitry; second tone information storage for, when the local-off play function is selected, successively storing the ON/OFF states of tone data generated by the internal tone generator for each set of the tone data; a local-off tone data control for employing the tone information stored in the second tone information storage to output, as tone data for an MIDI signal, the tone data that is generated by the internal tone generator without performing either tone channel assignment or tone production for the tone data; and a MIDI signal output, which is connected to the tone channel assigning circuitry and the local-off tone data control, for outputting, as MIDI signals, tone data from the tone channel assigning circuitry and tone data from the local-off tone data control.

An automatic accompaniment apparatus includes a memory for storing play data, an external information input section for receiving information from an external source, a chord information converter for converting, into chord information, information received from the external information input section, a play data converter for converting play data, read from the memory, corresponding to the chord information converted by the chord information converter, and a tone generator for producing a musical tone based on the play data converted by the play data converter. The automatic accompaniment apparatus receives information from an external device, converts the information into chord information, generates tone information by converting play data read from a memory in accordance with the chord information, and produces a musical tone based on the tone information.

摘要： An auto-play apparatus associated with a keyboard instrument is arranged for generating auto-accompaniment tones such as chord, bass drum lines to have a specific rhythm pattern. When a player determines tone-up of a music piece during a performance, he or she operates an intonation dial (22) arranged on an operation panel (2) or an expression pedal (23). Then, an intonation value representing a tone-up level of the music piece is generated as numerical value information. A corresponding play pattern is read out from an auto-accompaniment pattern ROM (6) according to the intonation value and a rhythm pattern selected in advance upon operation of an operation member of the operation panel (2), thus starting an auto-play operation. Auto-accompaniment pattern data corresponding to the intonation value is programmed to change the play pattern according to a tone-up state of a music piece during the performance of the music piece.

摘要： A phrase data input/output apparatus for an electronic musical instrument having an external device coupled thereto. The apparatus, upon receipt of key data from a keyboard, selects either a tone generator for generating a single musical tone in agreement with the key data or a phrase playing circuit for generating a specified phrase of multiple musical tones in agreement with the key data. The apparatus includes an instructing circuit for instructing either normal playing or phrase playing of the instrument. An assigning circuit assigns the key data from the keyboard to either the tone generator or to the phrase playing circuit of the instrument, upon receipt of an instruction from said instructing circuit. An output circuit, responsive to said assigning circuit sends to the external device either key data, outputted by the tone generator, or phrase playing control data obtained through a predetermined conversion of said key data from said keyboard and outputted by the phrase playing circuit.

These readout duet note data are subjected to a calculation, thus selecting a duet note. Therefore, duet note data corresponding in numbers to chords and relative notes need only be stored in the memory, thus reducing the capacity of the duet note data memory.
