摘要: When non-audible murmurs are to be obtained with maximum possible fidelity, the attenuation of the high frequency region attributable to mismatching of acoustic impedance on the interface between the skin surface over soft tissues in the body, which are mainly liquid, and the air space, which is gaseous, is restrained. The attenuation of the high frequency region attributable to mismatching of acoustic impedance can be restrained by installing a microphone on a surface of the skin immediately below the mastoid of a human, and sampling with condenser microphone portion via hardened silicone rubber or the like muscle-conduced vibrations of non-audible respiratory sounds articulated along with motions (motions of the mouth) not involving regular vibrations of the vocal cords.

摘要: The present invention eliminates the disadvantages of an analysis target used by a cellular phone and speech recognition, that is, a normal sound which is transmitted through the air and which is externally sampled through a microphone, and improves the disadvantages that noise may be mixed or occur in the target, that information may leak, and that corrections are difficult. The present invention also provides a personal portable information terminal realizing new portable terminal communications which do not require training and which conform to the cultural practice of human beings. In the present invention, no apparatus that obtains an analysis target is put off human body, and a normal sound is not an analysis target. A stethoscope-type microphone is installed on the surface of the human skin. Then, a vibration sound is sampled which is obtained when a non-audible murmur articulated in association with speech action (the motion of the mouth) not using the regular vibration of the vocal cords is transmitted through the flesh. A vibration sound obtained when a non-audible murmur amplified is transmitted through the flesh is similar to a whisper. The vibration sound can thus be heard and understood by human beings. Accordingly, the vibration sound can be used for a speech over the cellular phone as it is. Further, when the vibration sound obtained when the non-audible murmur is transmitted through the flesh is analyzed and converted into parameters, a kind of soundless recognition is realized. The present invention replaces the HMM model, conventionally used for speech recognition by an acoustic model created on the basis of a vibration sound obtained when a non-audible murmur is transmitted through the flesh. Therefore, the present invention provides a new method of inputting data to the personal portable information terminal.

摘要: A microphone is installed on a surface of the skin immediately below the mastoid of a human to implement a sound sampling method including sampling at least one of a non-audible murmur, a whisper, or an audible sound. The microphone includes a condenser microphone portion having a pair of diaphragm electrodes and a contact portion which has an acoustic impedance close to the acoustic impedance of soft tissues in a body of a speaker, which is stuck tightly to the condenser microphone portion with no intervening air space, and which conducts an input speech from a skin surface of the speaker to the condenser microphone.

摘要: An angle transducer which photo-electrically measures the rotation angle of a shaft by utilizing, a polarizer disc is arranged as follows: the polarizer disc is secured to the shaft to be measured or to the detection shaft of the angle transducer. Two pairs of photo-electric conversion elements are in opposition to light sources across the polarizer disc. The first and second polarizer plates are interposed between the photo-electric conversion elements of each pair. The transmission axes of the first and second polarizer plates differ from each other by 45 degrees. The quantities of light emitted by the light sources or the outputs of the photo-electric conversion elements are modulated by carrier waves of two phases differing 90 degrees from each other. The amplitudes of the outputs correspond to the sine and cosine functions of the double angle of the rotation angle of the shaft to be measured. These outputs form modulated waves of two phases differing 90 degrees from each other. The sum of the modulated waves of two phases, and the difference between the sum and a signal obtained by multiplication of the two phase carrier waves by a predetermined value, are computed by addition and subtraction computers to obtain a phase signal of a sine wave the phase of which is proportional to the rotation angle of the shaft being measured.
