    摘要: An aftertreatment system is provided for reducing particulate matter emission and chemical emissions in diesel engine exhaust gas. The system includes a diesel particulate filter including a plurality of diesel particulate filter units configured to engage respective cross-sectional regions of the diesel engine exhaust gas including particulate matter. Each diesel particulate filter unit includes a plurality of channels aligned in a flow direction of the diesel engine exhaust gas. The channels are selectively configured with a distinct cross-sectional area density. Additionally, each diesel particulate filter unit includes a plurality of walls separating adjacent channels of the plurality of channels, where the walls have a respective thickness. A plurality of pores are configured to vacate a distinct ratio of the area of the walls.

    摘要: A reductant delivery system for an exhaust treatment system of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The system includes a turbocharger fluidly coupled to, and configured to receive exhaust gas from, the internal combustion engine. An exhaust gas driven turbine wheel is disposed for rotation in a turbine housing of the turbocharger. A reductant injection device is fluid communication with the exhaust gas driven turbine wheel, a reductant tank having a reductant stored therein and a conduit system fluidly connecting the reductant tank with the reductant injection device. Reductant is delivered to the reductant injection device for delivery of the reductant to the exhaust gas driven turbine wheel.

    摘要: In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, an exhaust treatment system for reducing constituents in the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine is provided. A ceramic monolith is disposed within the exhaust treatment system and has exhaust flow passages extending therethrough that are defined by longitudinally extending walls therebetween. A first catalyst composition for catalytic reduction of oxides of nitrogen in the exhaust gas is applied to a first portion of the exhaust flow passages. A second catalyst composition for catalytic oxidation of hydrocarbons and oxides of nitrogen in the exhaust gas is applied serially downstream to a second, portion of the exhaust flow passages. The second catalytic composition is configured to reduce ammonia and hydrocarbon slip past the first catalytic composition.
