Abstract: Generating shared workspaces for enabling communications between users of different organizations and facilitating discovery of users associated with different organizations is described. A first user can generate a shared workspace and associate one or more other organizations therewith. The first user can designate first criteria associated with joining the shared workspace. The communication platform can receive a request from a second user to join the shared workspace. Based on a determination that the second user satisfies the first criteria, the communication platform can enable the second user access to the shared workspace. In some examples, an administrator associated with an organization of the second user can establish second criteria for users of the organization to join the shared workspace. In such examples, the communication platform can enable the second user access to the shared workspace based on a determination that the second user also satisfies the second criteria.

Abstract: Techniques for enabling contact sharing via communications transmitted via a communication platform are described herein. In an example, a first user can communicate with a second user via a virtual space (e.g., direct messaging instance, communication channel, etc.) of the communication platform. The first user can include an indicator associated with a third user in a communication to be transmitted via the virtual space. In response to a determination that the second user and the third user have not previously established a connection, the communication platform can associate a contact card of the third user with the communication. The contact card can include contact information associated with the third user. The contact card can be selectable to enable communications between the second user and the third user and/or to add the contact information associated with the third user to a contact list of the second user.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to verifying a third-party resource by automatically validating multi-factor message codes associated with the third-party resource to enable access to functionality associated with the third-party resource via a multi-app communication system. An example embodiment includes a multi-app communication system including at least one processor and at least one memory. The embodiment multi-app communication system is configured to receive a sign-in request from a multi-app communication system application executed on a client device, and cause transmission of a multi-factor confirmation message to a verified third-party multi-factor authentication resource. The embodiment multi-app communication system is further configured query the verified third-party multi-factor authentication resource to identify the multi-factor confirmation message, and enable access to the third-party resource.
