摘要: In embodiments, the present invention relates to liquid formulations containing hydrophobic, biodegradable polymers disperse within a Non-aqueous Organic Solvent Delivery System (NOSDS) that is designed to coat fertilizer granules with a hydrophobic film utilizing simple application equipment such as mixers, blenders and tumblers. This film can impede the dissolution of fertilizer components by water improving fertilizer efficiency. The NOSDS can be aprotic solvents, protic solvents and mixtures of prone and aprotic solvents which are environmentally friendly, have flashpoints above 145° F. and we inherently rated safe for contact with humans and animals. The hydrophobic polymers an the reaction product of aldehyde(s) and nitrogen containing compounds.

摘要: The present invention relates to improving the efficiency of man-made and/or natural organic-based animal manure fertilizers by administration of formulations containing poly(organic acids), [P(OA)]s, and/or their salts dispersed in a Non-aqueous Organic Solvent Delivery System (NOSDS). Utilizing a NOSDS allows for coating all components in a fertilizer formulation including but not limited to Urea, Manure, mono-ammonium phosphate (MAP), di-ammonium phosphate (DAP), solid micronutrients such as lime, zinc chloride, etc.) with a layer of [P(OA)]s and/or their salts that liberates, in a plant available form, the micronutrient metals and macronutrients, that are bound as insoluble salts and complexes in the soil. The carboxylic groups of a [P(OA)] that can exist within the [P(OA)] as carboxylic acids, carboxylic anhydrides and/or carboxylic imides, dispersed within the NOSDS, can be neutralized with one or more metals in the form of elemental metals, metal oxides, metal hydroxides, metal alkylates and metal carbonates and/or nitrogen containing compounds such as ammonia, ammonium hydroxide or organoamines to form a stable dispersion that can contain completely complexed micronutrients and provide the vehicle for the delivery of these nutrients to soils and/or as a coating to the surfaces fertilizer granules and seeds.

摘要: Increasing longevity of the nitrogen content of soil through improved liquid delivery formulations of nitrification inhibitors. The liquid formulation can also be comprised of nitrification inhibitors and urease inhibitors that are co-dissolved or blended solutions of each These novel formulations are designed to apply to fertilizers, especially urea and manure based fertilizers These delivery formulations provide an environmentally sound and inherently safe solvating system that improves the storage stability of the urease inhibitors by utilizing liquid organic non-water containing solvents, maintain the nitrification inhibitors in solution to storage temperatures of at least 10° C. and provides improved application to fertilizer of nitrification inhibitors. These delivery formulations enable safe storage, transport and subsequent application or blending with urea based or manure based fertilizers that can be applied to soil in either a liquid or granular form to provide improved nitrogen retention in the soil for uptake for plant life.

摘要: Animal waste contains most of the essential nutrients required for plant growth. However, animal waste also contains microbes that convert urea to ammonium ions, nitrification of the ammonium ions to NO2 and NO3 and denitrification of NO2 or NO3 to N2. N2O is produced as an intermediate of nitrification and denitrification processes and N2O is a 300 times more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. The instant invention discloses low-cost, fluid suspension compositions comprising a combination of urease, nitrification and denitrification inhibitors that decrease the loss of nitrogen from animal waste and lessen the biological formation of the greenhouse gas N2O. These compositions comprise nitrogenous phosphoryl compounds and nitrification inhibitors that utilize manufacturing processes for the formation of low cost, fluid suspensions comprising one or more inhibitor particles selected from the group consisting of urease inhibitor particles, b) nitrification inhibitor particles, and c) fused particles.

The formulation liberates nutrient(s) that are normally bound in the soil as insoluble salts and complexes. These delivery formulations also provide an environmentally sound and inherently safe solvating system that improves diffusion of polyorganic acids to the granule fertilizer. These delivery formulations enable safe storage, transport and subsequent application or blending with solid or liquid fertilizers. The combined formulation and fertilizer can be applied to soil to provide improved efficacy of fertilizer by liberating nutrients bound in the soil for uptake by plant life.
