    Abstract: A medical observation apparatus according to the present invention includes a microscope unit, a support unit that movably supports the microscope unit and that includes a plurality of arm portions and a plurality of joint portions, each of which holds the arm portions rotatably about a predetermined axis, and a cable connected to the microscope unit and inserted through an interior of the support unit, wherein at least one of the joint portions includes a twisting joint portion that rotates a rotation-target arm portion about an axis parallel to a central axis of the rotation-target arm portion, and the twisting joint portion includes a rotational-shaft portion, a rotational portion that holds the rotation-target arm portion, fixes the cable at a position offset from the central axis of the rotational-shaft portion, and is rotatable about the central axis, and an extending portion that extends from the rotational-shaft portion.

    Abstract: A medical image processing apparatus includes an image processor configured to set a cut-out range for each of a medical image for a right eye and a medical image for a left eye, captured respectively by a first imaging device and a second imaging device with a fixed inward angle that is an angle formed by imaging directions, and perform an electronic zoom process of enlarging an image in the cut-out range; and a display controller configured to control display on a display screen of the medical image for the right eye and the medical image for the left eye that have been subjected to the electronic zoom process by the image processor. The image processor sets the cut-out ranges for right and left eyes based on a reference distance corresponding to the inward angle and a subject distance in the first imaging device and the second imaging device.
