摘要:
An automatic calibration apparatus and method are disclosed. The automatic calibration apparatus includes a transmitter configured to output a transmission signal, a receiver configured to receive the signal output from the transmitter, and a controller configured to generate the transmission signal at a predetermined frequency to be output by the transmitter, and calibrate the transmission signal by analyzing a signal received by the receiver before banknote identification.

A device for detecting a banknote thickness includes a transmission electrode and a reception electrode facing one another at a predetermined interval and forming an electric field when a driving voltage is applied thereto; a driving voltage applying unit configured to apply a driving voltage having a pre-determined frequency and form an electric field between the transmission electrode and the reception electrode; a current detecting unit configured to detect a current when a banknote is between the transmission electrode and the reception electrode; an antistatic device configured to remove static electricity from the banknote; and a controller configured to detect at least one of a changed current (e.g., when the banknote is present) and a corresponding voltage waveform, and to detect one or more of a state, a thickness and a type of the banknote based on the detected current change or voltage waveform.

A banknote processing apparatus is disclosed. The banknote processing apparatus includes a sensor unit configured to acquire image information of a banknote and project light alternately from red, green, and blue (RGB) light sources onto the banknote, and a control unit configured to (i) acquire per-color image information of the banknote for each RGB color from the image information and (ii) determine at least one of a denomination, an identification mark, an authenticity, and a fitness of the banknote based on the per-color image information.

There are provided a system and a method for analyzing and/or estimating a state of a banknote processing apparatus. The system includes an information detector configured to detect use information of the banknote processing apparatus in real time, a state estimating apparatus configured to produce statistical information based on the detected use information and produce state estimation information on a state of the banknote processing apparatus and/or an operating environment of the banknote processing apparatus using the statistical information, and a database configured to store one or more of the use information, the statistical information, and the state estimation information.

An apparatus and method for controlling and/or maintaining a banknote feed rate are disclosed. The apparatus includes a motor configured to generate a driving force to feed or transfer a banknote, a banknote sensing unit configured to detect fed or transferred banknotes, and a controller configured to calculate a feed rate of the fed or transferred banknotes by analyzing a banknote sensing signal from the banknote sensing unit, and control the motor based on the calculated feed rate.
摘要:
A bill discrimination apparatus and method using a radio frequency (RF) signal that includes a transmission antenna radiating the radio frequency (RF) signal; a reception antenna receiving the RF signal from the transmission antenna; and a control unit providing the RF signal to the transmission antenna, and detecting a thickness of a bill, a state of the bill, or a presence of a foreign object on the bill based on a voltage of the RF signal transmitted through the bill and received by the reception antenna when the bill is between the transmission antenna and the reception antenna. The RF signal has a preset, specific frequency.
摘要:
A method of controlling a banknote processing apparatus for detecting, reporting, and integrally managing counterfeit banknotes includes detecting an injected banknote through an injection detecting unit; determining whether the injected banknote is a counterfeit banknote; obtaining counterfeit banknote information including a serial number of a banknote firmly determined as a counterfeit banknote; and transmitting the counterfeit banknote information including the serial number to a counterfeit banknote management system of a central bank through a communication unit when a counterfeit banknote report command previously set by a user is input. Since the blacklist of counterfeit banknotes established by the counterfeit banknote management system of the central bank is received and it is determined whether the injected banknote is a counterfeit banknote based on the received blacklist, accuracy of discriminating counterfeit banknotes of financial facilities including banks is improved.
