    Abstract: The disclosed smart electronic faucet system controls the flow of water being dispensed using voice commands. The disclosed smart electronic faucet system is a hybrid system that uses the computing resources available locally within the faucet itself for time-sensitive commands and the computing resources of a network connected server system or computing device for commands that do not have a time-sensitivity. After receiving a voice command, the disclosed smart electronic faucet system analyzes the command to determine if the command is time-sensitive and if so, uses computing resources located within the faucet to process the command to determine the control action to be taken by the faucet. Otherwise, the faucet sends the command to a server computer or computing device that is remotely located but communicatively connected to the faucet, which then processes the command and returns the control action to be taken by the faucet.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for a lock assembly having a touchscreen. The lock assembly includes an interior assembly and an exterior assembly having an exterior lock housing and a touchscreen assembly. The touchscreen assembly includes a touchscreen having selectable icons on a front surface thereof, a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), and a support structure. The PCBA includes input regions corresponding to the selectable icons and light emitters. The support structure is configured to reflect light emitted from the light emitters through the front surface of the touchscreen.

    Abstract: An electronic lockset assembly is configured to determine whether or not a door is open or closed before the lockset actuates a bolt. In one aspect, a wireless electronic lockset is disclosed. The wireless electronic lockset includes a processing unit, a bolt movable between a locked position and an unlocked position, a motor actuatable by the processing unit to move the bolt between the locked and unlocked positions, and a sensor communicatively connected to the processing unit and configured to detect air pressure. The processing unit is configured to execute instructions to receive, from the sensor, air pressure signals, and determine whether a door is closed based at least in part on a change in the air pressure reflected in the air pressure signals.

    Abstract: A method of enrolling a user at a biometric lockset is described. The method includes receiving user access information from a mobile device of an administrative user of the biometric lockset. The user access information indicates to the biometric lockset to enter an enrollment mode in which a user identity is associated with fingerprint data in a user entry within a memory of the biometric lockset. A plurality of different light codes are displayed on the lockset, each one of the plurality of light codes representative of a different state of fingerprint data capture. A message is transmitted to the mobile device, and corresponds to the light code displayed at the lockset. The completed fingerprint data is stored in association with the user identity of the user in the user entry.

    Abstract: Secure passcode-triggered wireless communication pairing of a mobile device with an electronic lock is provided. The passcode is a limited-use (e.g., one time use, useful for a limited time span) pairing passcode that may be generated at the electronic lock or by an application executing on an administrative user's mobile device that can be communicated to a guest user as part of an invitation to connect to the electronic lock. The pairing passcode is not a lock actuation passcode and cannot be used to actuate the electronic lock from a locked to an unlocked position. Rather, the pairing passcode enables the guest user to pair a mobile device with the electronic lock and, once paired, to use an application executing on the guest user's mobile device to actuate the electronic lock.
