    Abstract: A lockset that includes a latch assembly, an interior assembly and an exterior assembly. The latch assembly includes a bolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The interior assembly is configured to electronically control movement of the bolt between the extended position and the retracted position. The exterior assembly includes a locking assembly configured to be mechanically coupled with the latch assembly. The interior assembly includes an interior wireless communication unit and the exterior assembly includes an exterior wireless communication unit that is configured to wirelessly communicate therebetween. In some embodiments, an exterior assembly includes a photovoltaic cell and the interior assembly includes a light source. The light source and the solar cell are configured for wirelessly communicating and for power transmission between the exterior and interior assemblies through a bore hole in the door.

    Abstract: In general, the present disclosure relates to methods and systems for updating wireless electronic locks. One aspect is a method for updating wireless electronic locks, the method comprising scanning, by the computing device, for signals broadcast from wireless electronic locks within proximity to the computing device, the electronic locks being compatible with a mobile application executing on the computing device, while scanning, recording signal strengths of the signals broadcast from the wireless electronic locks, determining a set of the wireless electronic locks which are within an acceptable range for updating based on the signal strengths, and sending updates from the computing device to the set of the wireless electronic locks.

    Abstract: An electronic lock access management system includes an electronic lock and a server system. In some embodiments, the server system includes a memory storing a database including a plurality of user accounts, each user account being associated with a set of privileges and one or more properties, each property being associated with one or more locks, each of the locks being associated with one or more access codes that are specific to each user. In some embodiments, the electronic lock stores, in the lock memory, an encrypted copy of an access code list received from the server system based on a set of access codes that are associated with the electronic lock in the database.

    Abstract: Secure passcode-triggered wireless communication pairing of a mobile device with an electronic lock is provided. The passcode is a limited-use (e.g., one time use, useful for a limited time span) pairing passcode that may be generated at the electronic lock or by an application executing on an administrative user's mobile device that can be communicated to a guest user as part of an invitation to connect to the electronic lock. The pairing passcode is not a lock actuation passcode and cannot be used to actuate the electronic lock from a locked to an unlocked position. Rather, the pairing passcode enables the guest user to pair a mobile device with the electronic lock and, once paired, to use an application executing on the guest user's mobile device to actuate the electronic lock.
