Abstract:
A method is proposed for transmitting data of a stream to be stimulated, coming from a sender device to a receiver device through a network segment and according to a protocol for packet transportation with acknowledgement. An input device of the network segment performs the following steps for the stream to be stimulated: determining a starting packet associated with a sequence number higher than the sequence numbers of packets in transit via the network segment (packets transmitted but not yet acknowledged positively by the receiver device); selecting, as a function of a consumption of a target bandwidth for the transmission of said stream, of packets of the stream following the starting packet, and for each of which an anticipated positive acknowledgement message must be transmitted; upon reception of a positive message of acknowledgement of the starting packet, launching a temporary phase comprising a step of transmitting to the sender device an anticipated positive acknowledgement message for the starting packet and for each selected packet; discarding the positive acknowledgements received from the receiver device which correspond to the selected packets and for which an anticipated positive acknowledgement message has been transmitted.
Abstract:
A method is proposed for transmitting a multi-channel data stream comprising frames comprising a plurality of channels, the transmitting being done through a multi-transport tunnel from a first tunnel end-point to a second tunnel end-point, the multi-transport tunnel implementing a first carrier supporting a transport protocol with acknowledgement and a second carrier supporting a transport protocol without acknowledgement. The invention aims more specifically at averting or limiting the phenomena of interruptions in the rendering of a multi-channel stream in transit on a tunnel, and more particularly at providing a transport technique enabling regular and uninterrupted delivery of the multi-channel stream while at the same time reducing the memory resources needed at reception.
Abstract:
A method is proposed for the management of mechanisms to enhance data stream transmission on a tunnel supported by a main communications network, the transmission of each stream being done according to a frame transport protocol with acknowledgment, the tunnel being implemented between first and second tunnel end-points connected respectively to first and second sub-networks, each stream being transmitted from a sender device to a receiver device through the tunnel, one of the devices which are the sender device and the receiver device being connected to the first sub-network and the other being connected to the second sub-network. The method comprises the following steps performed by the tunnel end-point for a given stream: first partial determining of a nature and a location of a problem of transmission for the given stream enabling first pieces of information to be obtained on a problem by analysis of the given stream; receiving second pieces of problem information coming from the second tunnel end-point and resulting from a second partial determining of the transmission problem performed by the second tunnel end-point; final determining of the nature and location of the transmission problem by combination of the first and second pieces of problem information; managing the transmission enhancement mechanisms as a function of the result of the final determining.
Abstract:
A wall integrable multisensory therapy device for securement in a wall of a room dedicated for physiological therapeutic treatment is described. The device has a convection conduit with a bottom air intake and a top air outlet. A blower is secured between the inlet port and outlet port to heat air convected therethrough. Associated with the convection conduit is a front panel incorporating therein audio speakers and two different light sources, one being a white light source and the other being a colored light source. The white light source provides a luminotherapeutic sensation and the colored light source provides a chromotherapeutic sensation. The heated air provides a thermotherapeutic sensation. An aromatic liquid dispenser is also associated with the front panel provides an aromatherapeutic sensation. An audio transmitter equipped with speakers provides for a relaxing sensation of hearing to a user person. A control module is associated with a data processor which is programmed to generate combinations of these treatments some being adjustable in intensity levels and all having time adjustment capabilities, as programmed for selection by the user person.
Abstract:
A hydromassaging bathing tub is provided with jets disposed at various locations about side walls thereof. At least some of these jets are oriented to generate massaging water flows over a bottom wall of the bathing tub. A seat is secured between opposed ones of the side walls of the tub whereby to support the buttocks of a bather seated thereon at an elevated position over the bottom wall whereby the massaging water flows which are directed over the bottom wall will massage the bather from underneath portions of its body.
Abstract:
An electromagnetic treatment system and method of use in combination with a bathtub or shower enclosure and preferably, but not exclusively, a therapeutic type enclosure provided with a therapeutic device to subject a user person to a therapeutic treatment, as well as an electromagnetic treatment. The electromagnetic treatment system comprises an electromagnetic coil attached to an outside surface of the wall of the therapeutic enclosure and surrounds a space in the enclosure where a user person is disposed to undergo an electromagnetic treatment. A pulsating voltage generator is connected to the electromagnetic coil for generating a pulsating electromagnetic about the coil. The electromagnetic field is oriented relative to the space. A control circuit controls the generator and a remote control, which is secured to the therapeutic enclosure and accessible to a user person, actuates the generator through the control circuit.
Abstract:
A method is proposed for the transmission of data packets in a tunnel interconnecting two sub-networks in order to form a general communications network, the tunnel being implemented between two tunnel end-points, each of the sub-networks comprising a distinct tunnel end-point among the tunnel end-points, the tunnel implementing at least two transmission channels, the method being implemented by one of the tunnel end-points, known as a tunnel incoming end-point. The method comprises the following steps for each data packet: reception of the data packet coming from a source device belonging to the same sub-network as the tunnel incoming end-point; selection of an effective channel from among the transmission channels, as a function of a protocol associated with the payload data contained in the received packet, and of a piece of information on quality of transport linked to current conditions of transmission in the transmission channels; encapsulation of the received packet, according to a transport protocol associated with the effective channel, used to obtain a packet to be sent; and transmission of the packet to be sent in the tunnel on the effective channel selected.
