摘要: A method of transplanting a desired emotional state from a donor to a recipient, comprising determining an emotional state of the donor; recording neural correlates of the emotional state of the donor who is in the desired emotional state; analyzing neural correlates of the emotional state of the donor to decode at least one of a temporal and a spatial pattern corresponding to the desirable emotional state; converting said at least one of a temporal and a spatial pattern corresponding to the desirable emotional state into a neurostimulation pattern; storing the neurostimulation pattern in the nonvolatile memory; retrieving the neurostimulation pattern from the nonvolatile memory; stimulating the recipients brain with at least one stimulus modulated with the neurostimulation pattern to induce the desired emotional state in the recipient.

摘要: A method for communicating with devices may include monitoring brain activity of a subject via an EEG monitoring system coupled to the subject. The method also may include detecting a predefined state of brain activity of the subject. Further, based on the detecting the predefined state, the method may include wirelessly transmitting instructions from the EEG monitoring system to the at least one household device to adjust a setting of the at least one household device.

摘要: Systems and methods for delivering stimuli to a subject that prompt the subject to fall asleep use multiple parameters that are based on measured signals related to a patient's brain activity, for example obtained through electroencephalography (EEG). The parameters indicate amplitude in different frequency bands, e.g. high-frequency brain activity and low-frequency brain activity. A stimulus, e.g. auditory stimulus, is delivered to the subject such that the intensity of the stimulus is adjusted based on (changes in) the multiple parameters.

摘要: Described herein are methods and apparatuses for the application of transdermal electrical stimulation (TES) in order to modulate a user's cognitive state to induce a state of calm or relaxation. The apparatuses described herein include neck-worn devices having electrodes (or configured to connect to electrodes, including automatically self-connecting to electrodes) adapted to couple to the midline of the back of user's neck. A neck-worn controller may be configured as a cord, band, wire, torc, necklace, loop, strap, or the like, and may be rigid or semi-rigid and may be worn at least partially around the subject's neck. The controller may controllably apply one or more waveforms to the electrodes of the electrode pad (e.g., patch) to deliver TES adapted to induce or enhance a relaxed cognitive state.

摘要: A system for improving a health status of a person by analyzing and applying frequency information at a person is disclosed. The frequency information could be collected from an audio sample, or could be collected via feedback frequencies occurring when a test frequency is applied at the person. The system analyzes the collected frequency information to determine a status of the patient, for example a fundamental frequency of the person and/or a weak frequency of the person. Based upon the frequency information, the system generates a protocol to implement one or more frequencies at the person, for example sonic frequencies, light frequencies, and/or vibrational frequencies. Depending upon which frequencies are implemented, the state of the person can be improved.

摘要: A human body support, such as a chair, has a plurality of electrodes arranged in an array and spaced longitudinally with respect to the human body. The array extends from an inferior position to a more superior position along the body. A sensor measures a parameter of the human body that is capable of indicating the presence of drowsiness. A controller has an input connected to the sensor for receiving a signal representing the sensed parameter and has outputs connected to each of the electrodes. The controller detects whether the sensed parameter is within a range indicating the presence of drowsiness and applies a wave of electrical stimuli against the human body in response to detection of a sensed parameter within the range. The electrical stimuli cause periodic tightening and relaxing of proximate muscles as the wave progresses in a direction from an inferior location on the human body toward a more superior location.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices are provided for generating a mist. In one embodiment, a fluid delivery device is provided that includes a housing, a fluid vaporizer disposed within the housing and configured to receive fluid and to produce an aerosol mist of liquid particles from the fluid, and a pump configured to accelerate the aerosol mist produced by the fluid vaporizer. Methods are provided for producing a mist, and the methods can include delivering a fluid to a fluid vaporizer that generates a first mist. The fluid vaporizer delivers the mist to a pump that generates a second mist from the first mist.
