摘要： An infrared imaging system having functionality for maintaining image quality in the presence of temperature drift of the system. Such functionality is applied repetitively to maintain image quality of a target scene, yet without continuous actuation of a shutter of the system. The functionality of the imaging system results from implementing an imager algorithm. In use, the imager algorithm functions with a calibration curve created for the imaging system, with the curve comprising a plot of system output versus target scene temperature.

摘要： A thermal imaging apparatus comprises a thermal image camera having a lens and a display. The camera further includes a focal plane array located behind the lens for converting imaging radiation to produce an image signal for further processing. A shutter mechanism is operative to selectively inhibit exposure of the focal plane array to the imaging radiation such that the focal plane array produces a reference signal. Processing circuitry is operative to receive the image signal and produce a corresponding thermal image on the display. The processing circuitry is further operative to utilize the image signal and the reference signal to derive temperature information.

摘要： A visible light (VL) and infrared (IR) combined image camera with a laser pointer. The laser pointer may be used for marking a hot spot on an object or for focusing an IR lens of a camera on an object. The laser pointer may be adjacent to the VL optics and offset from the IR optics. The VL sensor array may be much larger than the IR sensor array and the camera may also display the pixels of IR data with a much larger instantaneous field of view than the VL pixels. The camera may also provide audible alarms where the alarm is emitted with a tone of variable output to indicate the relative level of the alarm.

摘要： A thermal imaging system having a remote user interface comprises a portable thermal imager (such as a handheld thermal imager) having a communication interface for transfer of data. The imager further has an on-board memory in which image data is stored as well as an imager display to show a processed thermal image based on the image data stored in memory. A remote computer is operative to communicate with the thermal imager via the communication interface. The computer runs software operative to transfer the image data to the computer and show the processed thermal image on a computer display thereof on a real-time basis.

摘要： An apparatus for measuring temperature comprises a noncontact temperature measurement device situated at a first location. The device includes a sensor operative to collect radiant energy emanated from a target. Circuitry associated with the sensor produces a digital temperature signal containing temperature data regarding the target. A video camera produces a digital video signal containing video data of the target. A processor receives the digital temperature signal and the digital video signal and produces a combined digital signal for transmission to a second location. The combined digital signal contains both the temperature data and the video data. A computer situated at the second location receives the combined digital signal and separates the temperature data from the video data. Preferably, the computer includes a display having two windows on which the temperature data and the video data are respectively shown.
