Abstract:
A fish hauling device, including a rope, a plurality of hooks, and a sleeve, including a body comprising a hollow cylinder, a plurality of rope attachment apertures disposed at a first end of the body to allow the rope to be attached thereto, and a plurality of slots to disposed at a second end of the body to allow the plurality of hooks to be attached thereto.
Abstract:
To alleviate the problem associated with wear of either the shank of the cutting pick or the surface defining the cutting pick mounting hole, a cutting pick and mounting assembly is provided including a cutting pick having a shank and a cutting tip, a cutting pick mounting hole extending through a support surface within which the shank of the cutting pick is received such that the cutting tip projects from the hole; an inner sleeve having a cutting pick opening within which the shank of the cutting pick extends; an outer sleeve having an inner sleeve opening within which the inner sleeve and the shank of the cutting pick extend; wherein the shank, the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve are positioned concentrically within the cutting pick mounting hole.
Abstract:
A cutting pick comprising a cutting tip 10 formed such as from SiC-D and a metal pick body 11. The pick body 11 has a greater coefficient of thermal expansion than the cutting tip 10. The pick body 11 includes a generally cylindrical cavity 14 within which is received a generally cylindrical anchor portion 13. The tip 10 includes a coating 17 bonded to the outer surface of the anchor portion 13. An annulus 24 is left between the coating 17 and the cavity 14 within which is a solder or braze material which bonds to each of the coating 17 and the cavity 14. The pick body 11 employs the difference in thermal expansion to exert pressure on the anchor portion 13 to fix the tip 10 to the pick body 11.
Abstract:
A cutting pick comprises an elongate shank and a cutting tip mounted to one end of the shank. The cutting tip has a leading end, a trailing end and a mounting portion for mounting to the shank. The tip has a shape such that it diverges outwardly in a direction from the leading end to the trailing end to a portion of maximum diameter. An annular sleeve is attached about the shank adjacent to and in non-contacting relationship with the trailing end of the cutting tip. The maximum diameter of the cutting tip is of greater diameter than the diameter of the inner diameter of the annular sleeve so that the portion of maximum diameter overlies the sleeve radially.

Abstract:
An extension drilling system for use with a semiautomatic drilling rig. The drilling system includes a plurality of extension rods constituting a drill rod string and having cooperating male and female threaded couplings therebetween, and being right-hand rope threaded couplings. A reversible drive chuck of a drilling rig drives (either directly, or via an adaptor), the outside of the female threaded end of an associated extension rod. A gripper grips one of the extension rods to hold the drill rod string stationary when the chuck is driven in reverse. The gripper is located such that only one threaded coupling is disposed between the chuck and grippers and to ensure that when the chuck is rotated in reverse, only the desired coupling is uncoupled. The drill rods have axial passages therethrough in communication with each other and through which flushing fluid is delivered to an associated drill bit and a non-return valve is incorporated in the passage through at least one of the drill rods. A socket of the drive chuck (or adaptor) is configured to automatically lock the drill rod in the socket in response to rotation of the drive chuck.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a rock bolt comprising first and second ends, a shaft extending between the ends, and an anchoring device extending along a first part of the shaft adjacent the first end. The anchoring device comprises a mandrel, and at least one expansion element overlaying the mandrel. The expansion element is displaced radially outwardly on a predetermined relative movement between the mandrel and the expansion element. The expansion element is joined to a connector to form an anchor assembly. The anchor assembly is keyed to the mandrel. The anchor assembly comprises relative rotation actuator means active during rotation of the anchoring device. The invention further relates to an anchoring device per se.
