In one aspect of the invention, a method for execution by a microprocessor in response to receiving a single instruction includes: receiving a first plurality of numbers and a second plurality of numbers; and generating simultaneously a third plurality of numbers, each of which is an absolute difference between a number in the first plurality of numbers and a number in the second plurality of numbers. The above operations are performed in response to the microprocessor receiving the single instruction.

    摘要: The problem of 3D panel display systems either (a) requiring special glasses to separate left and right viewing images, or (b) having auto-stereoscopic 3D with compromised fidelity, is solved by providing a projection three dimensional (3D) display system for providing glass-free, 3D display to a plurality of viewing volumetric pairs (VVAs) in space corresponding to a hypothetical plurality of viewers' eye aperture pairs, the projection 3D display system comprising: (a) a dual-image projector configured to project both a left viewing tri-color image and a right viewing tri-color image; and (b) means for (1) receiving a tri-color mixed input beam encompassing the left and right viewing tri-color images, (2) multiplying the tri-color mixed input beam into a plurality of tri-color mixed output beams, and (3) focusing the plurality of tri-color mixed beams for viewing at the VVAs.

    摘要: A retractable memory drive in accordance with the present invention comprises a top casing, a middle carrier, an electronic device such as a USB thumb drive, and a bottom casing. A positioning device on the middle carrier has a portion that protrudes outside the casing and operates like a button. The location of the positioning device where the button is located has two key attributes. First, there is a protrusion that acts as a lock with the casing. Second, the area below the button is not rigid and so it gives way when pressure is applied to the button. The top and bottom casings provide a casing structure which includes two detents. One detent is for locking the device with the connector in the extended position, and one detent for locking the device with the connector retracted in the in position. This allows for just one press of the extended portion of the positioning device to unlock it from its present position. When the device reaches its new position it will automatically lock. There are also guide rails that allow the middle carrier to remain in an appropriate position.

    摘要: In an upright CT scanner, an X-ray source and a two-dimensional digital X-ray detector are mounted on a rotating platform with a vertical axis of rotation. During scanning, the X-ray source and the detector are on opposite sides of the rotational axis for orbiting about a body to thereby scan it with pyramid-shaped X-ray beam. During scanning, the source and detector can be jointly translated along a horizontal axis that is perpendicular to the rotation axis and parallel to the detector surface, to scan a specific part of a body that is not centered or a body that is too large. The mounting height and distance of source and the detector can also be adjusted.
