Abstract: A coil-type electronic component comprises an element including a magnetic element body and a coil conductor. A portion of the magnetic element body in between layers of the coil conductor adjacent to each other in an axis direction of the coil conductor includes first soft magnetic metal particles. A portion of the magnetic element body on an outer side along the axis includes second soft magnetic metal particles. The first soft magnetic metal particles have a saturation magnetization (Ms) higher than that of the second soft magnetic metal particles.

Abstract: In a multilayer coil component, a ferrite element body includes a first element body portion and a second element body portion adjacent to each other in an axial direction of the multilayer coil, in which a dielectric constant of the second element body portion is lower than a dielectric constant of the first element body portion, and a magnetic permeability of the second element body portion is higher than a magnetic permeability of the first element body portion. The inventors newly found that the first element body portion and the second element body portion contribute to coil characteristics when a coil winding portion is provided to extend over the first element body portion and the second element body portion. In the multilayer coil component, desired coil characteristics can be obtained by adjusting proportions of the first element body portion and the second element body portion in the ferrite element body.

Abstract: The inventors have newly found that, even when a composition of a first element body portion and a composition of a second element body portion are different from each other, a high bonding strength at an interface between the first element body portion and the second element body portion can be obtained when both the first element body portion and the second element body portion contain Zn2SiO4 as a constituent component. That is, when the first element body portion and the second element body portion contain Zn2SiO4, a bonding strength at the interface is improved compared to a case in which the first element body portion and the second element body portion do not contain Zn2SiO4.

A cobalt compound content in terms of Co3O4 divided by a silicon compound content in terms of SiO2 is a value of 5.5 to 30.0.

Abstract: A ferrite composition composed of a main component including 26 to 46 mol % of an iron oxide in terms of Fe2O3, 4 to 14 mol % of a copper oxide in terms of CuO, 0 to 26 mol % of a zinc oxide in terms of ZnO, and a residue of 40.0 mol % or more of a nickel oxide in terms of NiO. The ferrite composition, with respect to 100 parts by weight of the main component, is also composed of a subcomponent including 0.8 to 10.0 parts by weight of a silicon compound in terms of SiO2, 1.0 to 15.0 parts by weight of a cobalt compound in terms of Co3O4, and 0.7 to 30.0 parts by weight of a bismuth compound in terms of Bi2O3. A value of the cobalt compound content in terms of Co3O4 divided by the silicon compound content in terms of SiO2 is 0.4 to 5.5.

The plurality of metal magnetic particles included in the element body includes a plurality of metal magnetic particles having a particle size equal to or greater than one third of a distance between the coil conductors adjacent to each other in the predetermined direction and equal to or less than a half of the distance. Between the coil conductors adjacent to each other in the predetermined direction, the metal magnetic particles having the particle size are distributed along the predetermined direction.
