Abstract: An element body of a rectangular parallelepiped shape has a length in a width direction larger than a length in a height direction and has a length in a longitudinal direction larger than the length in the width direction. A terminal electrode is disposed at an end of the element body in the width direction and extends in the longitudinal direction. The element body includes a pair of principle surfaces opposing each other in the height direction, a pair of end surfaces opposing each other in the longitudinal direction, and a pair of side surfaces opposing each other in the width direction. The terminal electrode includes a conductor disposed on the side surface. The conductor includes a depression having a length in the longitudinal direction larger than a length in the height direction.

Abstract: A multilayer capacitor 1 includes an element body 3, an external electrode 5, and a plurality of internal electrodes 7 and 9. The plurality of internal electrodes 7 and 9 include electrode portions 7a and 9a disposed to face other internal electrodes and connecting portions 7b and 9b connecting the electrode portions 7a and 9a to the external electrode 5. The connecting portions 7b and 9b of the internal electrodes 7 and 9 are positioned in a region corresponding to an end surface 3e when viewed from a direction perpendicular to the end surface 3e. The electrode portions 7a and 9a of the internal electrodes 7 and 9 have portions overlapping a region corresponding to an edge line surfaces 3g and 3i when viewed from the direction perpendicular to the end surface 3e.

Abstract: A first external electrode is disposed on an end surface. A second external electrode is disposed on a side surface. The first external electrode includes a first sintered electrode layer, a second sintered electrode layer disposed on the first sintered electrode layer, and a plated layer disposed on the second sintered electrode layer. The second external electrode includes a third sintered electrode layer and a plated layer disposed on the third sintered electrode layer. The first, second, and third sintered electrode layers include a void. A void fraction of each of the first and third sintered electrode layers is larger than a void fraction of the second sintered electrode layer.
