Abstract: A terminal assembly includes a terminal having a wire barrel and a mating segment configured to be mated to a mating component. The terminal assembly includes a shuttle assembly configured to be coupled to an end of a wire. The shuttle assembly includes a connecting insert defining a wire chamber configured to receive an exposed conductor of the wire. The connecting insert has a retention tab extending into the wire chamber. The retention tab is configured to interfere with and retain the wire in the wire chamber. The connecting insert is received in the wire barrel of the terminal and the connecting insert is configured to be crimped between the wire barrel of the terminal and the exposed conductor of the wire when the wire barrel is crimped around the connecting insert and the wire.

Abstract: A connector system for a wearable article including receptacle and plug connector assemblies is provided. The receptacle connector assembly includes a housing having a cavity receiving an electronic device and having a receptacle connector. The plug connector assembly includes a holder including an article mount securable to the wearable article and a support arm hingedly coupled to the article mount at a hinge. The plug connector assembly has a plug connector on the support arm including plug contacts and a cable electrically connected to the plug contacts. A seal is coupled between the receptacle connector and the plug connector. The plug connector is loaded into a receptacle of the receptacle connector to mate the plug contacts with the receptacle contacts to electrically connect the cable to the electronic device.

Abstract: A spring for use in an RF contact for a plug-in module including a hollow unitary cylindrical body having a longitudinal axis and a spring portion positioned between opposed first and second ends. The spring includes a first retainer near the first end, the first retainer adapted to be captured between first and second socket body portions of an RF contact, the first socket body portion, at least a segment of the second socket body portion, and the body adapted to be disposed within a receptacle module. The spring includes a second retainer near the second end, the second retainer adapted to be captured by a corresponding feature of the receptacle module. In response to the body being mounted in the receptacle module to floatingly secure the first socket body portion and the at least a segment of the second socket body portion therein, the spring portion is in tension.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a shell and a contact organizer received in the shell including contact channels each having an open side between a front and a rear of the contact organizer. The contact organizer has locating shoulders in corresponding contact channels and securing detents extending into corresponding contact channels. Contacts are terminated to cables and are received in contact channels through the open sides. Each contact has a flange engaging the corresponding locating shoulder to hold an axial position of the contact within the contact channel. Each contact has an exterior surface engaging the corresponding securing detent to retain the contact in the contact channel by resisting removal through the open side.
