    Abstract: Described examples include an optical device, having a light source with a light source output and a light integrator having a light integrator input and a light integrator output, the light integrator input optically coupled to the light source output, and the light integrator configured to provide divergent light at the light integrator output responsive to the light at the light source output. The optical device also has projection optics with an optics input and an optics output, the projection optics configured to project output light at the optics output responsive to modulated light at the optics input, in which a focal point of the optics input matches a divergence of the modulated light and a spatial light modulator optically coupled between the light integrator output and the optics input, the spatial light modulator configured to provide the modulated light responsive to the divergent light.

    Abstract: A system includes: a phosphor configured to receive first light having a first color, to produce second light having a second color responsive to the first light, and to transmit at least a first portion of the first light; a color wheel comprising a first colored segment configured to transmit light having a third color and a second colored segment configured to transmit light having a fourth color; a light tunnel optically coupled between the phosphor and the color wheel configured to transmit combined light including least a portion of the first light and the second light; wherein the first segment is configured to transmit the third color as first transmitted light and the second segment to transmit light of the fourth color as second transmitted light; and a spatial light modulator configured to modulate the first transmitted light and the second transmitted light.

    Abstract: Described examples include a projection system having a light source. The projection system also has a light integrator having an output face, the light integrator configured to receive an output of the light source, wherein a length of the light integrator is less than at least one diametric measurement of the output face of the light integrator. The projection system also has a spatial light modulator and focusing optics configured to receive a light output of the light integrator and configured to focus the light output of the light integrator onto the spatial light modulator. The projection system also has projection optics configured to project modulated light from the spatial light modulator.

The second angle is different than the first angle. The second time period is different than the first time period. The device includes a spatial light modulator configured to provide a first view of digital content based on the first angle of the first light emitted during the first time period and a second view of the digital content based on the second angle of the second light emitted during the second time period and projection optics configured to project the first view and the second view for presentation via the screen.
