Abstract: Example adaptive vehicle headlights are disclosed. An example system includes a photodetector, an illumination source configured to generate first light during a first operating mode, a spatial light modulator (SLM), and a dichroic filter optically coupled to the illumination source and to the SLM, wherein the dichroic filter is configured to direct the first light to the SLM, and the SLM is configured to direct second light to the dichroic filter during a second operating mode, wherein the dichroic filter is configured to direct the second light having a first color to the photodetector, and direct the first light during the first operating mode.

Abstract: In described examples, a circuit for controlling a light emitting diode (LED) includes a first flip flop including first and second control inputs. In response to assertion of a first control signal, the first flip flop generates a second control signal to control a first switch coupled in parallel with the LED. An edge detect circuit is coupled to an output of the first flip flop. In response to generation of the second control signal, the edge detect circuit generates a third control signal. A second flip flop includes third and fourth control inputs. The third control input is coupled to an output of the edge detect circuit. The second flip flop generates a fourth control signal to control a second switch coupled, via an inductor, to the first switch and the LED.

Abstract: In described examples, a circuit for controlling a light emitting diode (LED) includes a switch control circuit to generate a first control signal for a first switch coupled in parallel with the LED. The switch control circuit generates the first control signal responsive to a magnitude of loop current through the first switch relative to a first reference signal. A switch driver generates a second control signal for a second switch coupled to the first switch via an inductor. The first switch driver generates the second control signal responsive to the magnitude of the loop current through the first switch relative to the first reference signal.

Abstract: A method includes rendering, by at least one processor, a first sub-frame of an image, where the first sub-frame includes a first subset of pixels of the image. The method includes displaying the first sub-frame on a display. The method also includes rendering, by the at least one processor, a second sub-frame of the image, where the second sub-frame includes a second subset of pixels of the image, and where the second sub-frame is shifted a half-pixel diagonally from the first sub-frame. The method also includes displaying the second sub-frame on the display after displaying the first sub-frame, where the display is optically shifted a half-pixel diagonally to display the second sub-frame.
