Abstract: Techniques for determining an angle-of-arrival of a wireless transmission are provided, including receiving, with a first antenna, at least a first portion of a wireless transmission, determining when a second portion of the wireless transmission will be received, switching to the second antenna to receive the second portion of the wireless transmission, determining an angle of arrival of the wireless transmission based on the first portion and the second portion of the wireless transmission, and outputting the angle of arrival of the wireless transmission.

Abstract: In a described example, an integrated circuit includes an input coupled to receive a plurality of beacon frames, the beacon frames include an indication of data transmissions available for a device that includes the integrated circuit. The integrated circuit also includes a controller configured to compare the plurality of beacon frames to determine a plurality of bytes prior to the indication of data transmission available that is present in each of the plurality of beacon frames and is configured to provide a signal indicating a low power mode in which the device does not receive transmissions and to provide a signal indicating a wake mode at a selected time before transmission of the plurality of bytes in a subsequent beacon transmission.

Abstract: A network device serving two or more networks using periodic times slots for transmission events is configured to determine that one of the periodic time slots on one of the networks has or soon will collide with one of the periodic time slots on the other network by processing time stamps for events on each network. Either of the periodic time slots may be occasionally shifted by a time shift amount to avoid a collision between the periodic time slots on each network. Shifting the periodic time slots may be performed by transmitting a Bluetooth connection parameter update packet.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, a system and method is disclosed for efficient wake up in a wireless communication device for receiving beacons without significantly affecting the battery power and data throughput. Wireless device receives beacons from network elements such as access points. If beacons are not received as scheduled within defined intervals, then the wireless device determines a pattern of beacon reception timings and uses a weighted score process to select the best possible reception timing pattern and uses it as the schedule for receiving beacons on going forward basis, thus avoiding staying awake at all time to receive misaligned beacons.
