Abstract:
A data-input device comprises a designator able to point to a position on a screen of a computer system to which the device is intended to be connected and a body intended to be fixed to a workstation, the body comprising a support zone intended to support the hand of an operator as he manipulates the designator. The device further comprises a knob arranged in such a way that it can be manipulated by the fingers of the operator, his hand remaining supported on the support zone. The knob is configured to allow at least two distinct data selections of which one is a choice of values in a series and one is a binary acquisition in relation to the chosen value.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of methods for managing interaction symbols in a viewing system including an associated viewing device comprising a touch surface and displaying, managing and controlling means. The method according to the invention is implemented so as to manage graphical interactors allowing the functions of a discrete or continuous-state rotary control knob to be carried out. It comprises the following steps: Step 1: in the absence of tactile stress, displaying a symbol representative of the current state of said rotary control knob; Step 2: on a first tactile stress, causing interaction icons dedicated to said rotary control knob and surrounding said symbol to appear; Step 3: by maintaining and moving the tactile stress over the various interaction icons, changing the current state of said rotary control knob; and Step 4: by stopping the tactile stress, validating the new current state and causing the interaction icons to disappear.
Abstract:
The general field of the invention is that of methods providing a secure control for an appliance by means of a visualization device having a tactile surface capable of detecting several simultaneous touches. The method according to the invention comprises: A first step of displaying on the visualization device a first symbol representing the control in a locked state; A second step of displaying, after a first touch on the tactile surface, a second symbol representing an “unlocking” gesture; A third step of performing said “unlocking” gesture; A fourth step of validating the command by two simultaneous touches at the sites of the first and second symbols; A fifth step of changing the appearance of the first symbol representing the control to be activated in an unlocked and activated state.
Abstract:
The management of binocular rivalry, and by extension of attentional rivalry, in a display system is provided. The method includes the steps of determining visual surroundings parameters; determining a risk of visual suppression by binocular rivalry between an element of the visual surroundings and an element displayed by the display device on the basis of the visual surroundings parameters; and, on the basis of the determined risk, adjusting the display. Developments of the invention describe the management of the luminance, of the chrominance and of the geometry of the displayed elements. Optimizations in the field of avionics are described. Software and system aspects are described (e.g. brightness sensors and/or gaze-tracking sensors, monocular system).
Abstract:
A system and method for authorizing stoppage of piloting tasks performed by at least one pilot of an aircraft equipped with automatic piloting means is disclosed. A duration for which the stoppage is authorized is determined, the duration being determined based on the calculation of an instant of commencement of a next action, and the next action being an action not yet carried out that must be carried out first by the pilot. The duration is then displayed.
