    Abstract: A device for separating liquid from a volume flow of a gas-liquid mixture may include a separating element and a deflection arrangement for deflecting the volume flow in a direction of the separating element to precipitate liquid on the separating element and thereby separate the liquid. The deflection arrangement may comprise a flow channel that extends axially away from a volume flow inlet and comprises an aperture area that extends axially on the flow channel. The aperture area may be at least partly covered by a covering means that is movable relative to the aperture area. The covering means may be movable to different extents at two axially-spaced locations to influence a magnitude of a part volume flow of the deflected volume flow flowing out of the flow channel through the aperture area at one axial location differently than at another axial location.

    Abstract: An oil separation device for separating oil from a gas stream for ventilating a crankcase of a combustion engine may include an inflow side and an outflow side. The inflow side can be fluidically connected to the crankcase of the combustion engine and may receive the gas stream laden with oil. The outflow side can be fluidically connected to an intake tract of the combustion engine and may receive the gas stream substantially purged of oil. The device may include a first control member for varying a first flow cross section of the gas stream and controlled by a gas pressure in the crankcase. The device may have a second control member for varying a second flow cross section of the gas stream positioned downstream of the first flow cross section, wherein the second control member is controlled by a vacuum in the intake tract of the combustion engine.

    Abstract: A valve drive may include a sliding cam element that is held on a carrier shaft so as to be axially displaceable along an axis of rotation of the carrier shaft. The sliding cam element may include at least one cam profile group with cam profile sections of mutually different form. The valve drive may further include a pick-off element by way of which a control movement can be picked off from the cam profile sections and transmitted to a valve. The sliding cam element may also include a second cam profile group that is similar or identical to the first cam profile group and, which for the joint control of one valve, may interact with the pick-off element.

    Abstract: An oil separator may be used in a variety of contexts, one of which is for crankcase ventilation of an internal combustion engine. The oil separator may include a hollow member that extends along a longitudinal axis and is configured to receive a gas flow that is charged with oil. The oil separator may also include an oil separation member disposed within the hollow member and against which the gas flow flows. A redirection member may be disposed proximate the oil separation member in the hollow member, wherein the redirection member redirects at least a portion of the gas flow traveling substantially along the longitudinal axis radially outwards so as to impact an inner side of the oil separation member. As a result of an impactor effect from the gas flow striking the oil separation member as well as the inertia of the oil, the oil may remain in and/or pass through the oil separation member.
