Abstract: A remote control device includes operation buttons, detectors, a power generator, a controller, and an output unit. The operation buttons are movable between an ordinary position and a lowermost position and are configured to move from the ordinary position to the lowermost position in response to a push operation. The detectors are configured to detect the respective push operation of the operation buttons. The power generator is configured to generate a power in response to the push operation. The controller is driven by the power. The controller is configured to determine the pushed operation button based on a detection result of the detectors. The controller remotely controls a toilet device by transmitting a wireless signal toward the toilet device. The wireless signal corresponds to the determined operation button. The output unit is configured to produce an output when the power generator has generated the power.

A power generation unit GU generates electric power using mechanical energy input by a pressing force of an output part 14 of the slide member 10. When the stop button MB1 is pressed, the slide member 10 receives force F2 at a stop input part 12 and slides in the direction indicated by an arrow A1. At this time, a loss in the mechanical energy caused until it is transferred to the power generation unit GU by the slide member 10 is smaller than that caused as a result of the pressing operation of the cleansing button MB2.

When a button in the main button group MB is pressed, mechanical energy is transferred to a power generation unit GU by a first slide member 10 and a second slide member 20. On the other hand, when a button in the sub-button group SB is pressed, mechanical energy is transferred only by the second slide member 20 and a loss in the mechanical energy in such situation is smaller than the situation where a button in the main button group MB is pressed.
