摘要: A vehicle occupant protecting device including: an airbag that is accommodated at an upper portion of a vehicle seat, that receives a supply of gas from an inflator and is inflated and expanded toward a seat front side, and that includes a front inflating portion, which is inflated at a seat front side with respect to a head portion of a vehicle occupant, and a pair of left and right lateral inflating portions, which are connected to the front inflating portion and are inflated at sides of the seat with respect to the head portion, the airbag being structured as an integral bag body that covers the head portion; and reinforcing portions that extend in a seat vertical direction at an interior of a seatback, and that connect an upper portion and a lower portion of a seatback frame that structures a frame of the seatback.

摘要: A vehicle occupant protecting device, includes: an multidirectional airbag that is accommodated in a headrest, and that receives a gas supply from an inflator and inflates and expands, and that protects a head portion of a vehicle occupant from at least a front side and left and right both sides, and at which a front expanding portion, which protects the head portion from a front side, passes above the head portion in a process of inflating and expanding; and a vehicle cabin ceiling at which a reinforcing portion as an expanding direction regulating means is provided at an interference region which the front expanding portion interferes with in the process of inflating and expanding, and that, by the interference, directs an expanding direction of the front expanding portion toward a front side of the head portion.

摘要: A vehicle occupant protection device has an airbag main body that is formed as a single integrated bag body that covers a head portion of a vehicle occupant and includes a forward-inflating portion housed in a headrest or in a seat back of a vehicle seat, and which inflates and deploys when supplied with gas, and which inflates on a seat front side of the head portion, and a pair of left and right side-inflating portions which inflate on seat side portions of the head portion. This vehicle occupant protection device also has a sub-bag portion that is provided in at least one of the forward-inflating portion and the side-inflating portions, and that, when an internal pressure inside the airbag main body reaches a predetermined value or greater, inflates after receiving an inflow of gas from at least one of the forward-inflating portion and the side-inflating portions.

摘要: An occupant protection apparatus includes: an airbag configured to be stored in a head rest or a seat back of a vehicle seat, and the airbag being formed as a single bag that is configured to cover a head of an occupant and including a front inflating part and a right and left pair of lateral inflating parts; a three-point seat belt device including webbing equipped with a lap belt and a shoulder belt, and a belt take-up mechanism, and the belt take-up mechanism applying tension to the webbing; and a control unit that, in the event that an impact to the vehicle has been predicted or detected, activates the belt take-up mechanism before inflating and deploying the airbag.
