Abstract: A vehicle position estimation system comprises one or more processors configured to estimate a position of a target vehicle shown in an image captured by a camera. The vehicle position estimation system extracts a universal feature point and a plurality of types of unique feature points from the captured image using a trained model. The universal feature point is a feature point independent of vehicle type. Each of the plurality of types of unique feature points is a feature point corresponding to each of a plurality of applicable vehicle types. The vehicle position estimation system selects a target unique feature point from the plurality of types of unique feature points according to the vehicle type of the target vehicle. Then, the vehicle position estimation system estimates the position of the target vehicle based on image coordinates of the universal feature point and the target unique feature point.

Abstract: A sensor surface cleaning apparatus for a vehicle includes at least one sensor or camera, at least one cleaning unit for jetting a cleaning liquid toward a sensor surface of the sensor or camera, and a travel control ECU which operates in accordance with its operation mode switchable between a first mode in which automatic cleaning operation is permitted and a second mode in which the automatic cleaning operation is not permitted. In a period during which the operation mode is the first mode, the travel control ECU switches the operation mode to the second mode upon satisfaction of at least one of a first particular condition showing an environment in which the sensor surface easily becomes dirty and a second particular condition showing that dirt on the sensor surface cannot be removed by the cleaning liquid.

Abstract: A vehicle control system for controlling a vehicle traveling in a predetermined area is provided. The vehicle control system acquires vehicle information indicating a position of the vehicle. The vehicle control system sets a determination region around the vehicle based on the vehicle information. The vehicle control system acquires an image captured by an infrastructure camera that is installed outside the vehicle and images a situation of the predetermined area. The vehicle control system determines whether or not a target is present in the determination region based on the image captured by the infrastructure camera. The vehicle control system decelerates the vehicle when the target is present in the determination region.

Abstract: A vehicle location recognition system obtains vehicle model information of a target vehicle and a predicted location of a target vehicle in a parking space. The vehicle location recognition system also retrieves from a database a reflection possibility area on the vehicle body of the target vehicle identified by the vehicle line information and the predicted location. Furthermore, the vehicle location recognition system assimilates the reflection possibility area on the vehicle body of the target vehicle to the surrounding area surrounding the potentially reflective area in an image input from a camera. Furthermore, the vehicle location recognition system identifies the vehicle location of the target vehicle by image recognition on an image in which the reflection possibility area is assimilated into the surrounding area. Furthermore, the vehicle location recognition system updates the predicted location based on the vehicle location of the target vehicle identified by image recognition.

The one or more processors execute parking arrangement processing for determining a parking position and a parking direction of the cargo vehicle when the cargo working operation of the cargo vehicle is performed based on the map information and the positional information on the door before the cargo working operation is started by the cargo vehicle.
