Abstract: A power device embedded printed circuit board (PCB) assembly includes a cold plate, a multi-layer PCB with at least one power device embedded therein bonded to and in thermal communication with the cold plate, and a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) dielectric layer disposed between the cold plate and the multi-layer PCB. The CVD dielectric layer can be applied to the cold plate and a bonding layer can be sandwiched between the CVD dielectric layer and the multi-layer PCB with at least one power device assembly embedded therein. In the alternative, CVD dielectric layer can be applied top the multi-layer PCB with at least one power device assembly embedded therein and bonding layer can be sandwiched between the CVD dielectric layer and the cold plate.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are power electronics assemblies which include a printed circuit board (PCB) having a plurality of conductive layers and a cold plate contacting the PCB. Abstract: An integrated power control assembly mounted on an axial end of a three-phase motor includes a substrate, two input busbars each of positive and negative polarities alternatively spaced apart on the substrate, a plurality of sets of paired devices, and three output busbars corresponding to the three phases of the motor, wherein a set of paired devices includes a switching semiconductor and a diode. An inner input busbar has edges adjacent to an inner input busbar of opposite polarity and an outer input busbar of opposite polarity and configured to have at least twice as many devices as the outer input busbars. One or more sets of paired devices are disposed axially on outer input busbars and on inner input busbars along the edges. An individual output busbar is disposed over and electrically coupled to one or more sets of paired devices disposed on adjacent input busbars of opposite polarity.

Abstract: An integrated power control assembly configured as an inverter for a motor is mounted directly on an axial end of the motor. The integrated power control assembly includes one or more power plates, one or more cooling plates coaxially disposed on and thermally connected to the one or more power plates, and one or more circuit boards circumferentially disposed around the one or more power plates. An individual power plate has a power card having one or more switching semiconductor devices corresponding to individual phases of the motor. The individual power card is electrically coupled to the motor through one or more busbars. An individual circuit board is electrically coupled to an individual power card corresponding to an individual phase of the motor. The individual circuit board has a first surface electrically coupled to the one or more power plates and a second surface opposite to the first surface.

Abstract: A vehicle includes one or more low load devices and a plurality of magnetic sensors operable between a misalignment detection mode for measuring a magnetic field of a power transmitting pad and obtaining magnetic field data, and a power receiving mode for wirelessly transmitting energy from the power transmitting pad to the one or more low load devices. The vehicle also includes one or more processors and one or more memory modules including a computer-readable medium storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to receive the magnetic field data from the plurality of magnetic sensors, and estimate a lateral misalignment of the plurality of magnetic sensors with respect to a magnetic axis of the power transmitting pad.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein generally relate to an assembly including a manifold structure. The manifold structure includes a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The fluid inlet is for receiving a cooling fluid into the manifold structure and the fluid outlet is for removing the cooling fluid from the manifold structure. The manifold structure also includes a first cooling surface and an opposite second cooling surface. The first cooling surface includes a cooling chip inlet opening fluidly coupled to a cooling chip outlet opening. The fluid inlet is fluidly coupled to the cooling chip inlet opening. The second cooling surface includes a cavity. A first integrated fluid channel fluidly couples the cooling chip outlet opening to the cavity and a second integrated fluid channel fluidly couples the cavity to the fluid outlet. A cooling chip includes a plurality of microchannels, which fluidly couple the cooling chip to the first cooling surface.

Abstract: Systems and methods for degassing and charging phase-change thermal devices are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes a flask, a first shut-off valve fluidly coupled to an outlet of the flask, and a first valve fluidly coupled to the first shut-off valve by a fluid line. The system further includes a second valve fluidly coupled to the first valve, wherein the second valve is operable to be fluidly coupled to the phase-change thermal device, a second shut-off valve fluidly coupled to the second valve, a third valve fluidly coupled to the first valve, a vacuum pump fluidly coupled to the third valve, and a fluid injection device fluidly coupled to the fluid line between the first valve and the first shut-off valve. The fluid injection device draws the working fluid from the flask and injects a desired amount into the phase-change thermal device.

Abstract: A method, computer program product, and receiver assembly. The receiver assembly may be created, wherein creating the receiver assembly may include placing a printed circuit board (PCB) coil pad of a PCB inside a cavity of a non-metal enclosure. Creating the receiver assembly may include placing a mesh frame on top of the PCB coil pad. Creating the receiver assembly may include placing one or more ferrite plates on top of the PCB coil pad based upon, at least in part, a configuration of the mesh frame. Creating the receiver assembly may include placing an insert on top of the one or more ferrite plates. Creating the receiver assembly may include placing a rectifier on top of the insert, wherein the rectifier may be connected to the PCB coil pad inside the cavity of the non-metal enclosure. Creating the receiver assembly may include placing an assembly lid on top of the rectifier, wherein the assembly lid and the non-metal enclosure may be coupled together to encapsulate the PCB coil pad, the mesh frame, the one or more ferrite plates, the insert, and the rectifier.
