摘要: A simple means is used to realize a virtual network communication via an home network and Internet. A relay device 4 comprises bridge module 12 provided between a network protocol stack 13 and each of network devices 10, 11 for bridging for packets which are not addressed to the relay device or VLAN, or not broadcast request packets; a server address storage section 17 for storing the global address of a server; a tunneling session establishing section 20 for establishing a tunneling connection with the server based on the global address; a capsulating processing section 21 for capsulating a originating address and sending it to the server via the tunneling connection; and a virtual IP address/private IP address conversion section 22 for decapsulating a packet addressed to the relay device, converting a destination virtual network address included in this packet to a private IP address on the LAN of a client apparatus, and sending it onto the LAN via the bridge module.

摘要: An optical disc drive apparatus including a main tray having a stack of subtrays mounted thereon and movable between withdrawn and inserted positions. When the main tray is moved to the inserted position, the subtrays stacked thereon are held at a stand-by position and a selected one of the subtrays is ready to be drawn towards a loaded position so that an optical disc resting on the selected one of the subtrays can be clamped in position and optically read out. When an optical disc resting on one of the subtrays other than the uppermost subtray then held at the loaded position is desired to be removed or replaced, not only can such one of the subtray be returned from the loaded position to the stand-by position, the main tray is allowed to withdraw from the inserted position back to the withdrawn position carrying such one of the subtrays and the subtray or subtrays positioned immediately thereabove while leaving the subtray or the subtrays positioned above such one of the subtrays at the stand-by position, so that such one of the subtrays can readily be exposed to the outside for removal or replacement of the optical disc resting thereon.

摘要: A computer readable medium stores a program causing a computer to execute a process for error recovery. The process includes: when an error is detected during transfer of dummy data for maintaining a link, executing device reset to recover from the error, and monitoring whether or not another error occurs during an error monitoring period starting from the device reset; when the other error occurs during the error monitoring period, executing the device reset to recover from the other error, monitoring whether or not still another error occurs during the error monitoring period starting from the device reset; counting number of the successive error monitoring periods in each of which the error occurs; and judging an error occurrence state based on a result of the counting.

摘要: A data transmission apparatus includes a packet generation section, a frame encoding section, a transmission section, a reception section, a frame decoding section and a packet extraction section. The packet generation section generates a packet upon request. The frame encoding section generates a frame having a predetermined length by dividing the packet or adding dummy data to the packet and generates an error-correcting-code-added frame by adding an error correcting code to the frame. The transmission section transmits the generated error-correcting-code-added frame through a transmission line. The reception section receives the error-correcting-code-added frame. The frame decoding section performs an error detection and an error correction for the error-correcting-code-added frame. The packet extraction section extracts the packet by removing the error correcting code from the error-correcting-code-added frame for which the error detection and the error correction have been performed.
