摘要: A pad covering an air bag has a main body, a backing and a decorative member. The main body may be made from a thermoplastic elastomer and includes a tearing line which tears open when the air bag inflates, a recess formed in its outer surface spaced apart from the tearing line, and a hole formed in the recess and extending between the outer and inner surfaces of the body. The decorative member is arranged in the recess and the hole. The backing is situated on the inner surface of the main body, and has a through hole aligned with the hole of the main body. The decorative member has a decorative plate portion fitted in the recess of the main body, and a support post extending from the inner surface of the decorative plate portion and through the holes of the main body and the backing, and connected to the backing. The inner surface of the main body spaced apart from its hole and the outer surface of the backing facing the main body have mutually engaging portions which prevent the backing from being displaced along the inner surface of the main body. The main body of the pad provides a stable support for the decorative member, even though the thermoplastic elastomer is an easily expandable material.

摘要: An air bag cover is held by the bag holder in such a manner that the respective side walls of the cover are secured to their corresponding securing piece portions of the vertical walls of the bag holder. The front and rear side walls of the cover respectively include securing grooves to which the front and rear securing piece portions of the bag holder are to be secured. The opening width dimension of the securing groove is set a little smaller than the height dimension of its corresponding securing piece portion, while the opening width dimension of the securing groove is set a little larger than the height dimension of its corresponding securing piece portion. The right and left side walls respectively include securing projecting strips to which the right and left securing piece portions of the bag holder can be secured.

摘要: A thermal printer having a thermal printhead with energy save features which is capable of high speed and high quality printing is provided. The thermal printer has an energy storage device and a thermal printhead including a substrate, a resistor layer formed on one surface of the substrate, and a thermoelectric element disposed on the other surface of the substrate opposite to where the resistor layer is formed, wherein the thermoelectric element converts heat generated by the resistor layer to electrical energy when a temperature difference between the resistor layer and an opposite side of the thermoelectric element where the resistor layer is disposed nearby becomes large enough for the thermoelectric element to convert heat into electric energy, and the electrical energy is stored in the energy storage device.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a magnetic device that obtains sufficient processing accuracy without increasing mask removal steps. A first mask layer is formed above a magnetic layer using one selected from the group consisting of Ti, Ta, W, and an oxide or a nitride thereof. A second mask layer is formed on the first mask layer using Ru or Cr. A resist pattern is formed on the second mask layer. A second mask pattern is formed by performing reactive ion etching with reactive gas containing oxygen on the second mask layer using the resist pattern. A first mask pattern is formed by performing reactive ion etching with reactive gas containing halogen gas on the first mask layer using the second mask pattern. A magnetic pattern is formed by performing reactive ion etching with reactive gas containing oxygen on the magnetic layer using the first mask pattern.
