    摘要： A pad or cover for an air bag assembly formed of a thermoplastic elastomer and having an outer wall that includes a substantially H-shaped thin-walled breaking seam designed to break when the air bag is actuated. The breaking seam is H-shaped, as viewed in a vertical direction, and the cover includes an ordinary portion outside of the breaking seam. A horizontal seam portion of the substantially H-shaped portion has straight line portions respectively connected to two vertical seam portions lying on both left and right sides of the substantially H-shaped configuration and a curved U-shaped portion that is interposed between the straight line portions. The thickness of the ordinary portion at the outer peripheral side of the U-shaped portion is thicker than the thickness of the ordinary portions in the vicinities of intersections between the vertical seam portions and the straight line portions.

    摘要： A pad covering an air bag has a main body, a backing and a decorative member. The main body may be made from a thermoplastic elastomer and includes a tearing line which tears open when the air bag inflates, a recess formed in its outer surface spaced apart from the tearing line, and a hole formed in the recess and extending between the outer and inner surfaces of the body. The decorative member is arranged in the recess and the hole. The backing is situated on the inner surface of the main body, and has a through hole aligned with the hole of the main body. The decorative member has a decorative plate portion fitted in the recess of the main body, and a support post extending from the inner surface of the decorative plate portion and through the holes of the main body and the backing, and connected to the backing. The inner surface of the main body spaced apart from its hole and the outer surface of the backing facing the main body have mutually engaging portions which prevent the backing from being displaced along the inner surface of the main body. The main body of the pad provides a stable support for the decorative member, even though the thermoplastic elastomer is an easily expandable material.

    摘要： The present invention is directed to a molded resin product and resin composition form making the same. The molded resin product includes at least one thick wall portion, at least one thin wall portion, and at least one thickness changing portion extending between the thick wall portion and the thin wall portion. The resin composition being used for forming the molded resin product includes 0.01-0.1 part by weight of a delustering agent and 100 parts by weight of blend components comprising: 30-50% by weight of a polypropylene block copolymer containing 4-20% by weight of ethylene, 0-10% by weight of polyethylene, 5-15% by weight of a propylene/butene copolymer, and 40-60% by weight of an ethylene/&agr;-olefin copolymer rubber.
