摘要： A sheet reversing apparatus which has a take-in path, a reversing path which extends from the take-in path in a substantially same direction, a take-out path which extends from a junction of the take-in path and the reversing path in a substantially perpendicular direction to the extending direction of the reversing path. A sheet is fed from the take-in path to the reversing path, and when the trailing edge of the sheet comes out of the take-in path, the sheet is fed back from the reversing path to the take-out path. In an entrance portion of the reversing path, a first reversing roller which is driven to rotate in a feed-back direction toward the take-in path and a second reversing roller which is capable of coming into contact with and moving away from the first reversing roller are provided. The second reversing roller is away from the first reversing roller until the trailing edge of a sheet comes out of the take-in path, and comes into contact with the first reversing roller after the trailing edge comes out of the take-in path.

摘要： A copying machine which has a function to contain sheets, each of which has an image on a first side, in a refeeding unit and refeed the sheets for forming an image on a second side. The refeeding unit has an intermediate tray, a pick-up roller for refeeding the sheets one by one and a containing section for feeding the sheets to the intermediate tray. Each of the sheets is fed into the intermediate tray by a first or a second roller of the containing section. The containing section is movable along a transporting way and set at such a position that the first and the second roller are positioned corresponding to the size of sheets to be contained in the intermediate tray.

The reflector has an air ventilation hole which is formed in an area that is on the peripheral edge of a bulb mounting portion of the reflector and is on an inner side, when viewed from the front, of the outer edge of the shade.

摘要： A development apparatus has a casing, a regulation plate, a smoky dust prevention sheet and a backup member which are fixed together onto the casing with a screw. The backup member sandwiches a fixed end portion of the smoky dust prevention sheet with the regulation plate. Therefore, the backup member suppresses detachment of the smoky dust prevention sheet from the regulation plate. Thus, the smoky dust prevention sheet is prevented from being detached from the regulation plate when the smoky dust prevention sheet is used in contact with a development roller in the state of being bended.

摘要： Image data compression method and apparatus which improves image quality in a scene where image greatly changes and reduces the image data, and image transmission system and monitoring system using the method and apparatus. The image data compression apparatus which compresses input image data and outputs compressed image data comprises a detection unit which detects a motion or change of each scene, a determination unit which determines the detected motion amount or change amount, a switch circuit which controls a frame rate in accordance with the results of determination, and a compression encoding unit which compression-encodes the image data. The apparatus performs control such that an image having small motion amount and small change amount with respect to a predetermined image is not compression-encoded, so that the frame rate in a scene where the motion or change is large is higher than that in a scene where the motion and change are small.

摘要： In a document processing apparatus wherein when a format of a document or the like is set, a plurality of format patterns are simultaneously displayed, a selection is made of a desirable format pattern among said format patterns so as to perform a format setting operation, displays of the format patterns are subdivided into a plurality of screens based on a purpose or usage of a document to be formed. After selecting or designating the purpose or usage of the document, the above-described format pattern is displayed. The document format setting operation which was cumbersome in prior art can be readily performed by selecting a desirable format sample from the format samples which have been categorized based upon the usage thereof, and also by adding an item capable of freely setting a format into the format samples.

摘要： There is disclosed an image forming apparatus capable of double-sided or overlay copying at high speed. While a sheet having initially copied a first original document is still being transported to an intermediate tray inside the apparatus, an image forming operation on a second document is started, and one of the initially copied sheets in the intermediate tray starts to be refed therefrom for secondary copying. If the designated number of copying sheets is larger than a predetermined value and when the number of times the image forming operation is performed has exceeded that value, the start of the subsequent image forming operation is delayed by a predetermined time so as to provide the currently transported sheet with an extended distance relative to the preceding sheet. Thus there occurs no interference or feed-related trouble between the sheet which copied the first document and which is being transported to the intermediate tray on the one hand, and the sheet refed from the same tray upon starting of an image forming operation on the second document on the other hand.
