摘要： A decoding device can prevent reduction in the efficiency of parallel processing, when coded image data is separated into pieces based on a plurality of color components.The decoding device (10) decodes coded image data having a plurality of color components and includes the following elements. A variable length decoding unit (301) performs variable length decoding on the coded image data to generate variable length decoded data. A separation unit (302) (i) separates the plurality of color components to a number of color components, and (ii) obtains, from the variable length decoded data generated by the variable length decoding unit (301), each of pieces of data to be decoded in decoding processes, as necessary data required in at least one of decoding processes, and the decoding processes each corresponding to a corresponding component of the number of color components. Each of image reconstruction units (202, 203) corresponds to a corresponding component of the number of color components, and generates, in parallel, decoded images regarding the respective components using the necessary data obtained by the separation unit (302).

The decoding apparatus (100) which decodes a coded image coded on a per-block basis, includes: a variable length decoding unit (101) that decodes a coded image; an error occurrence position detection unit (109) that determines a candidate block on which an error has possibly occurred, by using a quantization parameter which is obtained for each block and which is resulting from the decoding by the variable length decoding unit (101); and an error correction unit (110) that corrects blocks including and following the candidate block determined by the error occurrence position detection unit (109).

摘要： An image memory access control unit (502) judges whether or not an additional pixel required for motion compensation is necessary, the additional pixel not being included in a plurality of pixels forming an image shown by a reference block. When the additional pixel is judged to be necessary, a yet-to-be-obtained-pixel interpolating unit (503) generates at least one additional pixel, and generates a reference image to be used for motion compensation using the generated at least one additional pixel and at least a part of the image shown by the reference block. When the additional pixel is judged to be unnecessary, the yet-to-be-obtained-pixel interpolating unit (503) outputs at least a part of the image shown by the reference block as the reference image.
