摘要: A communication network including connection switching exchanges, such as an ATM, a connection management apparatus is provided in a network management unit of a communication network. A group of logical connections with a fixed group size and consecutive identifiers assigned to the connections is treated as a unit. The number of logical connections in the group is an integer with a power of 2. The logical connections and connection identifiers assigned to the logical connections are set up and released in connection setting units each equal to a multiple of the group size in a unitary manner across the network. A priority level is assigned to each connection setting unit. When logical connections have been set for connection setting units sharing the same connection identifiers, logical connections with the shared connection identifiers pertaining to a connection setting unit with a smaller size is considered to be valid.

The number of logical connections in such a group is an integer with power of 2. 摘要: In a communication network constituted of relay nodes and edge nodes interconnected by communication lines and a network manager, the network manager manages relay nodes and edge nodes connected to the network manager by operation management communication lines. The network manager requests to set a logical connection between an ingress and an egress of the connection, and in response to this request, relay nodes and edge nodes set a logical connection specifying at least one of a transmission source and a destination.

摘要: It is possible to control the data transfer between a proxy server apparatus and an application server that is connected to the proxy server apparatus. A value added service control command is added to an request message and/or the response data. In accordance with the value added service control command included in the request message, a first proxy server 1a controls whether it relays this request message directly to a destination and it relays this request message to the destination after transferring this request message to an application server 7 and applying the value added service. Further, based on the value added service control command which is included in the response data, the first proxy server 1a controls whether it relays this response data directly to a destination or it relays this response data to the destination after transferring this response data to the application server 7 and applying the value added service.

摘要: A file input/output control system has first computers each having disks and connected to a network; and at least one second computer connected to the network for accessing the disks connected to the plurality of first computers, the second computer having: a retriever for retrieving first data access requests issued from a plurality of processes of an application and comparing the first data access requests with correspondence relation defining information to thereby confirm that the first data access requests are accesses to disks, the correspondence relation defining information being entered by a user in advance and indicating a correspondence relation between the disks and each of regions in a file stored in disks of the first computers; and a scheduler for creating second data access requests to the disks from first data access requests confirmed to be accesses to disks, in accordance with the correspondence relation defining information between the disks and each of the regions in a file stored in the disks of the first computers, and transmitting the second access requests to the network, wherein the first computers access the disks in accordance with the second data access requests received via the network. Each of the first computers has a rearranger for rearranging second data access requests for each of the disks in the order of block numbers in each of the disks. Each of the first computers has a merger for merging, upon detection of that the second data access requests to each of the disks contain data access requests to a continuous disk field, the disk access requests to one disk access request. Although two-dimensional array data distributively stored in the first computers is defined in a row direction, in response to an access command for referring to the two-dimensional array data in a column direction, the network driver reads data containing unnecessary data from the disks, transmits the data containing unnecessary data to each of the second computers, and each of the second computers filters the data containing unnecessary data to discard the unnecessary data and obtain necessary data for the second computer.

摘要: Multiple parallel-job scheduling method and apparatus are provided which can improve the utilization of all processors in a system when a plurality of parallel jobs are executed concurrently. A plurality of processors constituting a computer system and each having the equal function are logically categorized into serial processors for executing a serial computing part or a parallel computing part of a parallel job and a parallel processor group consisting of multiple processors for executing the parallel computing part of the parallel job in parallel. In order that the parallel processors are shared by a plurality of parallel jobs, a synchronization range indicator is provided which can control by program whether the parallel processors are available in correspondence to the respective serial processors. In response to a request for using the parallel processors from a serial processor for which the parallel processors are so set as to be available by means of the synchronization range indicator, operation can be carried out without invoking an interrupt.

摘要: In an information processing debugging apparatus, a debugger owns a debug information adding element and a data with type access instructing element. The debug information adding element gives data type symbol information of a data type from a debug information object file to be used by an information processing program in a program object file to be debugged. The typed data access instructing element instructs an access operation by using a variable symbol of the information process program and an added data type symbol information as a variable having a data type where an operator designates a variable of the information program. Such an information processing program which is not formed by a debug option is symbolically debugged without increasing the memory capacity. A practical information processing program such as a library which is not directly related to debugging operation can also be symbolically debugged.

摘要: In a file management system a plurality of information processing devices are provided with files of tree structure. The information processing devices are linked through a communication line and dispersed files are utilized by a plurality of users in common. Each of the users can construct his own file without having any influence on the others. A table is provided including a column indicating the relation of links for the case where an arbitrary branch of a tree structure, included within at least one information processing device, is linked with a part of files included within another information device and a column specifying groups, for which the relation of links is valid. Linking is only permitted for access demands from members belonging to the group for which the relation of links is indicated as valid, to the part of the files of the other information processing device.
