摘要： An apparatus and method for measuring the properties of underground water are disclosed. The device comprises a measuring apparatus with a measuring sensor for measuring the properties of the underground water, a pair of expandable and contractible packers arranged above and below the measuring apparatus, a transmitting means for sending measurement signals from the measuring apparatus, and a receiving means located at the ground surface for receiving the measurement signals from the transmitting apparatus. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of placing a measurement apparatus with a measuring sensor in a bored hole at a desired depth, arranging a pair of packers so that the measuring sensor is interposed therebetween, pumping water to the ground surface from the space between the two packers, and comparing the properties of the water pumped to the surface with the properties of the water measured with the above-mentioned measuring sensor.

摘要： A control system for a machine includes a pulse generator for generating a pulse signal synchronized with the speed of drive of the machine and a programmed control device for receiving the pulse signal and controlling the sequence of operation of the machine thereby to synchronize the control operation of the control device and the actual operation of the machine with each other. For this purpose a program of the programmed control device is so designed that a control routine for executing a process necessary to control the machine and a synchronizing routine for controlling the timing at which said control routine is to be started are executed continuously and repeatedly. The routine of the program are so associated with the pulse generator that the number of pulses generated at a speed corresponding to the normal run of the machine during the time equal to the sum of the control routine and the synchronizing routine is at least two. The control routine is started immediately after the generation of the pulse during the execution of said synchronizing routine has been detected.

摘要： Magnification is selected in response to selection of simplex or duplex mode. Then an original image is scanned by an optical system with the predetermined magnification and formed as an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor drum. Other latent images on the photoreceptor drum than the above mentioned electrostatic latent image, which correspond to a leading edge area and a rear edge area of the original image, are erased by an interimage eraser. Since toner does not adhere to the areas thus erased, toner is not transferred onto the leading and rear edge areas of the copy paper. Accordingly, when the transferred image on the copy paper is fixed by a fixing roller, the leading edge portion of the copy paper does not adhere to the roller and consequently, the copy paper can be prevented from winding around the roller.

摘要： A power feed control device for copying apparatus which merely requires closing of door or cover to set the apparatus to a power feedable condition after removal of jammed copying paper is disclosed. The device comprises a change-over switch responsive to opening and closing of the door to form normally opened contact and normally closed contact, said change-over switch is so arranged to be connected to a power source and also to a drive circuit as well as to a jam detecting circuit through the normally closed contact while the same is also connectable to a power feed control relay through the normally opened contact. The change-over switch being so connected that the opening of door will cut off the supply of power to said drive and said jam detection circuits whereas the closing of the door will automatically set the power feedable condition for said drive and jam detection circuits so as to enable the apparatus to resume copying operation.
