摘要: A method is provided for operating a materials handling vehicle comprising: monitoring, by a processor, vehicle acceleration in a direction of travel of the vehicle during a manual operation by an operator of the vehicle when the vehicle is traveling in a first vehicle orientation; collecting and storing, by the processor, data related to the monitored vehicle acceleration; receiving, by the processor, a request to implement a semi-automated driving operation; calculating, by the processor, a maximum vehicle acceleration based on acceleration data comprising the stored data, wherein the data related to the monitored vehicle acceleration used in calculating the maximum vehicle acceleration comprises only the vehicle acceleration data in the direction of travel of the vehicle collected when the vehicle is traveling in the first vehicle orientation. Based at least in part on the maximum vehicle acceleration, controlling, by the processor, implementation of the semi-automated driving operation.

摘要: A system and method for inducing head motion onto a frame that is secured to the head of a user is provided. A generated counter-rotational reactive force is exerted on the frame to emulate at least one of an apparent movement and an apparent acceleration of an object shown in a visual content portion of presenting media content. One embodiment concurrently operates a first motor to drive a first rotational acceleration of a first rotational acceleration mass based on a determined first acceleration and operates a second motor to drive a second rotational acceleration of a second rotational acceleration mass based on a determined second acceleration, wherein the rotational acceleration of the first rotational acceleration mass and the second rotational acceleration mass cooperatively induces a counter-rotational reactive force on the frame that urges the head of the user.

摘要: Systems and methods for control of the delivery of contaminates are provided. A conveyor moves contaminate particles from a hopper into an airflow. The contents of a hopper at multiple time points within a sliding window of time are weighted with a scale. A processor applies linear regression to a data set comprising the time points as an independent variable and the weight measurements as a dependent variable, resulting in a determination of a line fitting the data set. A processor determines a current mass flow rate of the contaminate particles from the slope of the line. The processor determines an estimated change in the conveyor motor speed needed to achieve the target mass flow rate, the estimated change determined from a predetermined mapping of flow rates to motor speeds, the estimated change based on the current mass flow rate, the target mass flow rate, and a predetermined fraction.

摘要: The present invention provides a system and method which combines field mapping and control software to effectively manage end gun parameters to adjust for changes in weather conditions and positional/terrain changes. According to a first preferred embodiment, the present invention preferably provides a system which monitors a mapped set of boundaries and preferably receives data regarding a variety of weather factors including wind monitoring (speed, direction, averages, and gusts) and preferably makes adjustments to the system to adjust and modify the shape of a desired distribution area based on the weather factors.

摘要: Self-generated thermal stress evaluation concepts are described. In one embodiment, a system includes a computing device, a cooling system, such as fans, that draws heat away from the computing device, and a management controller. The management controller can sense a temperature in the computing device and compare it against a temperature profile. The temperature profile can specify one or more target temperatures in the computing device over time. Based on the comparison, the management controller can adjust a cooling capacity of the cooling system. The adjustment to the cooling capacity can be achieved by reducing the speed of the fans, for example, to raise the temperature in the computing device. Processing tasks can also be executed in the computing device and, in response to the detection of an error in the computing device, the management controller can record the error and a profile for the error for further evaluation.
