摘要: A multi-cell radiation detector constructed such that a first group of electrodes to which is applied high voltage and a second group of electrodes to which are connected signal leads are alternately arranged inside a vessel containing ionizable gas enclosed therein. The first group electrodes are provided with terminals to which are connected leads for introducing high voltage from the exterior, while the second group electrodes are provided with terminals to which are connected leads for leading out signal outputs to the exterior. These leads and terminals are all disposed at positions offset from traveling path of the radiation so as to reduce the volume of the space under the weak electric field behind the electrode section.

摘要: In an ionization chamber detector of the type in which a plurality of flat anode and cathode electrodes are alternately arranged in a predetermined gaseous medium, this invention provides a method of producing an ionization chamber detector which is characterized in that a plurality of ditches having a width a little bit greater than the thickness of the electrodes are formed on the inner surfaces of a pair of insulators disposed in the spaced-apart relation for supporting and fixing the anode and cathode electrodes, an adhesive is applied in advance temporarily in a rectangular form to both or one surface of each electrode at those positions which are set back by a distance corresponding to the thickness of the electrodes from both edge portions, another adhesive having a low viscosity is charged from the end portions of the ditches into the gaps between the electrodes and the ditch walls after the electrodes are inserted into the ditches, and the tentative adhesive and the adhesive having a low viscosity are then cured integrally in order to firmly bond and fix the electrodes into the ditches. This method can keep the distance between the electrodes highly accurate and can bond and fix reliably and stably the electrodes into the ditches.

摘要: In an exemplary embodiment, an internal combustion engine, in which a valve is opened and closed when a piston reciprocates in a cylinder, has a configuration to perform repeatedly the following combined strokes: an intake stroke→a compression stroke→a combustion stroke→an exhaust stroke in a four-cycle internal combustion engine are combined with an intake and compression stroke→a combustion and exhaust stroke in a two-cycle internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine can reduce pumping loss in a six-cycle internal combustion engine and increase the output.

摘要: A counter base for checkout includes a basket placing table on one side thereof to be freely raised and lowered. A driving unit can drive to raise and lower the basket placing table. A first detecting unit detects that a shopping cart enters an access area closer to the basket placing table than a predetermined range. A second detecting unit detects presence or absence of the shopping cart stopped along one side of the counter base. A control unit controls to drive, when the first detecting unit detects entrance of the shopping cart into the access area, the driving unit to move the basket placing table to a lowered position and, thereafter, controls to drive, when the second detecting unit does not detect the shopping cart stopped along the counter base, the driving unit to return the basket placing table to a raised position.

摘要: The principles described herein relate to methods for soldering electrode terminals, pins or lead-frames of commercial electric components for high temperature reliability. In one embodiment, prior to soldering the electric components, a pre-plated solder layer is removed from the lead frame or pins, and nickel and/or gold films are formed with electroless plating. The removal of the pre-plated solder layer avoids excess pre-plated Sn with high-Pb solder that lowers the melting point to between 180° C. and 220° C. and weakens solder joints. The nickel layer formed with an electroless plating acts as a barrier to the interdiffusion of tin from solder with copper of the lead frame material, which may otherwise occur at high temperatures. Interdiffusion forms an intermetallic compound layer of copper and tin and degrades solder joint strength. The novel soldering processes improve high temperature reliability of solder joints and extend electronics life-time.

摘要: The objective of the invention is to provide an image reproduction device that can take digital data that has been subjected to analog conversion and reproduce digital data therefrom that is substantially the same as the original digital data, without using over-sampling or special hardware. An analog signal that was generated as a digital signal by an image generation device (200), but then subjected to analog conversion, and a synchronization signal from the image generation device (200) are input to an image reproduction device (100). A clock generation section (30) generates a sampling clock which has the same frequency as the dot clock used during the digital data generation, and with a suitably-adjusted phase, based on an input horizontal synchronization signal (12) together with frequency data (82) and phase data (84) as selected by a selection section (80). Digital data is reproduced from the input analog signal by an analog-digital converter (40), based on the thus generated sampling clock.
