摘要: A membrane for microfiltration, ultrafiltration or dialysis comprises a methyl methacrylate copolymer containing about 0.5 to 10 mol % of a monomer having sulfonate groups, and a methyl methacrylate copolymer containing about 0.5 to 10 mol % of a monomer having quaternary nitrogen-containing groups. It is manufactured by mixing those copolymers, dissolving the mixture in a solvent such as dimethylsulfoxide or dimethylformamide, and forming a membrane from a solution of the copolymers by casting or spinning. The membrane is particularly suitable for use in the purification of blood, and its most preferable form is hollow fibers. A method of preparing hollow fibers comprises extruding the copolymer solution through a spinneret having an annular orifice defined by a thin central tube while a liquid or gas is being injected into the central tube, and coagulating the extrusion product.

摘要: There is provided an air bladder for a safety tire in which an air-impermeable layer is optimized to reduce an incidence of manufacturing defects. A hollow toric air bladder 1 is accommodated in a tire 2 and filled with air at an internal pressure determined in relation to the given pressure of the tire 2. Under the normal internal pressure state of the tire 2, a cavity S1 is formed at least between an inner surface of the tire 2 and the bladder 1. When the internal pressure in the cavity S1 of the tire 2 is suddenly lowered due to puncture or the like, the air bladder 1 radially expands and eventually reaches to the inner surface of the tire 2 to take over load support from the tire 2. The air bladder 1 comprises an air-impermeable layer 6 maintaining the internal pressure of the air bladder in the inner surface of the air bladder, and the air-impermeable layer 6 consists of at least one hollow toric layer 7 and at least one auxiliary layer 8 disposed on at least a part of the hollow toric layer 7.

摘要: A light-emitting diode has a low-resistivity silicon substrate on which there are laminated a buffer layer, an n-type lower confining layer, an active layer of multiple quantum well configuration, and a p-type upper confining layer. The active layer is constituted of cyclic alternations of a barrier sublayer of InGaN, a first complementary sublayer of AlGaInN, a well sublayer of InGaN, and a second complementary sublayer of AlGaInN. The proportions of the noted ingredients of the active sublayers are all specified. The first and the second complementary sublayers prevent the evaporation or diffusion of indium from the neighboring sublayers.

摘要: A care bedpan and a care bedpan system that are capable of reducing the burden of wasting excrements within the care bedpan, of enabling easy use of the bedpan, and of reducing the burden on both, the care-receiving person as well as the care-giving person are provided. A movable and portable care bedpan provided with a bedpan main body 10 having an opening 31 that is pressed against or disposed to oppose a pubic region of a care-receiving person for receiving excrements, and with a cover 33 provided to extend frontward from an upper portion of the opening 31 of the bedpan main body 10 to thereby comprise an entire opening of the bedpan together with the opening 31 of the bedpan main body 10. In the cover 33 is held by a holding mechanism which angle is adjustable, either in a multi-staged or non-staged manner, so as to adjust the size of the entire opening and to shield one's pubic region to be hardly visible from above. Upon connecting an accessory unit to the bedpan 10, it is possible to arrange a care bedpan system for supplying washing water, cleaning water (warm water) and warm air for drying and for sucking excrements (including waste water etc.) and collecting the same in a waste water tank.
