摘要: Enabling a Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) player to fetch media segments from a network may comprise the steps of (i) receiving, from said network, a manifest comprising a representation base Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) for indicating a location to said DASH player for fetching said media segments, a default representation base URI which is available in a default mode for fetching said media segments from a default content delivery network (CDN), a secondary representation base URI which is available in a secondary mode for fetching said media segments from a secondary CDN, (ii) transmitting, the manifest to said DASH player, and (iii) transmitting, to said DASH player, a ManifestModificationCommand message comprising one or more representation base URIs of any of said default representation base URI and said secondary representation base URI that are to modify a representation base URI in said manifest.

摘要: Systems and methods for auto creation of Multicast-Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) areas are disclosed. In some embodiments, systems and methods are disclosed for providing different MBSFN area pattern types for different cell coverage and density conditions for better resource usage. In some embodiments, systems and methods are disclosed for providing tools to a customer to plan MBSFN broadcast areas and to automatically generate MBSFN Hexagon areas and allocate a proper MBSFN area pattern for the MBSFN Hexagon areas to avoid manual configuration of the MBSFN area for each cell. In some embodiments, systems and methods are disclosed for providing a solution to help network operators to remote set MBSFN areas' configuration to a network wide Radio Access Network (RAN). In some embodiments, systems and methods are disclosed for providing tools to present cells, cell range, MBSFN area locations, and configurations and enhanced or evolved Node Bs' (eNBs') relationship.

摘要: A SC informs a communication service (CS) node (e.g., GCS AS) of a data transfer start time for the bearer (i.e., the user plane ready time for the bearer). Additionally, in some embodiments, the SC informs the communication service node (e.g., GCS AS) as to a data transfer stop time for the bearer. This provides a distinct advantage because the CS node will now have information as to when it should start (and stop) data delivery, thereby leading to a higher quality of experience (QoE) of MBMS delivery.

The method in the BM-SC comprises determining to transmit the data file to the at least one UE, and determining a FEC redundancy level to use for the transmission. The method also comprises transmitting, to the at least one UE, the data file using the determined FEC redundancy level and an indication of the determined FEC redundancy level.

摘要: A method is described that is executed by a computer system implementing a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) to enable serving media files by streaming over HTTP. The method is constructed to enable serving media files that are segmented from multiple sources using switch access points defined in a switch access point (SAP) file. The SAP files define transition points in the serving of the media files between different media file sources. The method includes a set of steps such as determining a media meta file or media segment files for a SAP file. The requested media meta file or media segment files are sent to the client. A request for a SAP file is then received from the client. The SAP file request is redirected to a second HTTP server in response to the SAP file indicating the next media segment file identified by the SAP file is not local.

摘要: A wireless device (“UE”) that is operable to communicate with a network node of a group communication services (“GCS”) network can receive first data from the network node over a first type of GCS transmission based on a first location of the UE in a network coverage area. The UE can detect that the UE has moved to a second location. Responsive to detecting that the UE has moved to the second location, the UE can transmit a message to the network node based on the second location. Responsive to transmitting the message to the network node, the UE can receive second data over a second type of GCS transmission that is different than the first type of GCS transmission.
