摘要: A technique for determining a list of neighbouring radio resources from signal strength measurements taken by mobile terminals is presented. Two or more signal strength measurements taken by the same mobile terminal at substantially the same time are grouped to a data set that associates, for each of two or more different radio resources of a given radio resource type, a measured signal strength with an identifier of the measured radio resource. An apparatus implementation of the technique presented herein is configured to analyze, using a similarity metric, similarity of a plurality of data sets. The apparatus is further configured to cluster the data sets, or information derived therefrom, based on data sets similarity so as to obtain multiple clusters representative of different radio locations and to determine, from each cluster, a radio resource set that defines a list of neighbouring radio resources for the radio location represented by that cluster. technique for determining neighbouring radio resources based on signal strength measurements

摘要: A computer-implemented method (1400) performed in a radio access network (1510) for secondary carrier prediction is provided. The method includes obtaining (1402) an uplink channel impulse response based on a reference signal transmitted by a user equipment (UE) (104) over a primary carrier link to a serving network node (102) in a primary cell (102) currently serving the UE (104). The method includes extracting (1404) one or more features from the uplink channel impulse response. The method includes predicting (1406) an existence or non-existence of a secondary carrier link between the UE (104) and a target network node in a secondary cell (106) based on the extracted one or more features. The method includes determining (1408) whether to perform a handover procedure of the UE (104) from the serving network node in the primary cell (102) to the target network node in the secondary network cell (106) based on the predicting.

摘要: A computer implemented method for managing radio resources used by UEs in a cellular communication network. The communication network includes a plurality of radio resources, each radio resource defining a dimension of a multidimensional radio space over which the communication network extends. The method is performed by a management node and includes determining that a UE fulfils a location condition with respect to a region of the communication network, and providing to the UE a distributed resource management model for the region of the communication network, the distributed resource management model having a radio coverage model including defining radio characteristics of radio zones in the region. The distributed resource management model is operable for use, by the UE, to identify a radio resource action for execution by the UE. Also disclosed are a method performed by a UE, a management node, a UE and a computer readable storage medium.

摘要: A computer implemented method (200) is disclosed for managing Conditional Handover of a UE in a cellular communication network. The method comprises receiving a report of radio resource measurements performed by a UE (210) and assigning a current radio location of the UE to a radio zone of the communication network on the basis of the contents of the report (220). A radio zone comprises a region of a multidimensional radio space over which the communication network extends that is defined by a particular combination of radio field characteristics (220a). Each cell of the communication network comprises a plurality of radio zones. The method further comprises updating, in a database, a trajectory of the UE through the radio space of the communication network with the radio zone to which the current radio location of the UE is assigned (230), and using the updated trajectory to calculate a probability of Handover of the UE to neighbor cells of the current serving cell of the UE (240). The method further comprises initiating a Conditional Handover procedure for Handover of the UE to neighbor cells for which the probability of Handover is above a first Handover threshold value (250).
