    摘要: A method for dynamic link selection that comprises providing at least two wireless links between one or more network nodes and a wireless device. The at least two wireless links associated with at least two different radio access technologies. The method additionally includes obtaining control data to be sent to a first network node of the one or more network nodes. The control data is associated with a first radio access technology. The method additionally includes selecting one or more wireless links from among the at least two wireless links. The one or more links selected based on a first selection parameter. The one or more selected wireless links are to be used for the transmission of the control data to the first network node. The one or more selected wireless links comprise at least a first wireless link associated with a second radio access technology. The method further includes transmitting the control data associated with the first radio access technology to the first network node via at least the first wireless link associated with the second radio access technology. The method also includes obtaining the control data at the first network node and determining whether the received control data is duplicated control data.

    摘要: A wireless communication device is configured for use in a wireless communication system. The device in this regard is configured to receive a command that commands the device to perform a link switch from a source link to a target link responsive to fulfillment of a condition. The command may indicate a target link configuration relative to a source link configuration. The device is also configured to store information from which the target link configuration indicated by the command is determinable irrespective of any change to the source link configuration occurring after receipt of the command. In some embodiments, the device is configured to, responsive to fulfillment of the condition, perform a link switch from the source link to the target link using the target link configuration as determined from the stored information.

    摘要: According to some embodiments, a method for use in a user equipment (UE) of acquiring system information or a synchronization signal comprises receiving, from a network node, a plurality of subframes. Each subframe includes a repetition of either system information or a synchronization signal. The repetition is divided into a number (N) of transmission blocks in a frequency domain of a first bandwidth (N>1). The method further comprises combining N transmission blocks from one or more repetitions of the respective received plurality of subframes to decode the system information or synchronization signal. The UE may comprise a narrowband wireless device operable to receive a bandwidth less than the first bandwidth, and combining N transmission blocks to decode the system information or synchronization signal may comprise combining at least one transmission block from two or more repetitions of two or more respective subframes of the plurality of subframes.

    摘要: Systems and methods for delivery of on-demand system information in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a network node comprises transmitting, to a User Equipment (UE), minimum system information including a set of signal quality indication levels and corresponding random access parameter(s) and detecting a random access request from the UE that uses the random access parameter(s) configured for the signal quality indication level that corresponds to a signal quality level measured at the UE. The method further comprises deciding whether to deliver on-demand system information to the UE via a broadcast or dedicated signaling based on the signal quality level measured at the UE, broadcasting on-demand system information upon deciding to deliver on-demand system information via a broadcast, and delivering on-demand system information to the UE via dedicated signaling upon deciding to deliver on-demand system information via dedicated signaling.

    摘要: According to certain embodiments, a method by a first network node operating as a secondary node for a wireless device having dual connectivity to the first network node and a second network node operating as a source master node is performed during a handover of the wireless device from the second network node operating as the master node to a third network node operating as a target master node. The method includes receiving, from the second network node operating as the source master node, an indication that the first network node is to release one or more resources for serving user plane data to the wireless device. In response to the indication, control plane data is transmitted to the wireless device while ceasing to provide user plane data to the wireless device.

    摘要: A UE operating in a network that supports dual connectivity operation is configured to minimize the transmission of unnecessary UE failure indications. The UE detects secondary cell group (SCG) failure for the UE, in response to detecting one of a plurality of SCG failure-triggering events. The UE sends a UE failure indication message, in response to the detecting SCG failure, and refrains from sending further UE failure indication messages in response to SCG failure-triggering events, until the sending of further UE failure indication messages is reenabled. In some cases, the UE sets a state of the UE to a UE prohibit state to prohibit sending further UE failure indication messages while in the UE prohibit state. In other cases, the UE starts a prohibit timer to prohibit sending further UE failure indication messages during the prohibit timer.
