The ink-jet head substrate includes: heat generating resistors forming heat generating sections on a base; electrode wires electrically connected to the heat generating resistors; and anti-cavitation films installed via an insulator protective layer on the heat generating resistors and the electrode wires, in which the anti-cavitation film is formed of materials varying with individual given areas on the base.

    摘要: In a liquid ejection head comprising a plurality of opened liquid flow passages arranged side by side and communicating with ejection orifices through which a liquid is ejected, and thermal energy generating elements for generating thermal energy utilized to eject the liquid through the ejection orifices and generating bubbles in the liquid, at least one closed liquid flow passage closed at one end corresponding to the ejection orifice is provided in at least one end side of the plurality of opened liquid flow passages communicating with the ejection orifices. Since the closed liquid flow passage is not communicated with open air, the liquid is relatively hard to flow into the closed liquid flow passage. Accordingly, a bubble having the function of absorbing a liquid vibration caused upon ejection of the liquid is formed to extend from the interior of the closed liquid flow passage rearward. Vibrations of liquid meniscuses at the ejection orifices can be suppressed with the presence of the bubble. A method of manufacturing the liquid ejection head with ease is also provided.

    摘要: In a liquid discharge head having an orifice plate in which a plurality of discharge ports for discharging liquid droplets therethrough are arranged, and a head body provided with a plurality of flow paths communicating with the plurality of discharge ports, a liquid chamber for supplying liquid to the plurality of flow paths, and a plurality of energy generation elements disposed correspondingly to the plurality of flow paths and generating energy for discharging the liquid droplets, the orifice plate being joined to the joined surface of the head body in which the communication ports of the flow paths communicating with the discharge ports are disposed, the orifice plate is formed with wall-shaped convex portions protruding from the inner peripheral portions of the discharge ports and having at least a portion thereof entering from the communication ports into the flow paths, and the width of the wall-shaped convex portions is greater in the portions thereof parallel to the row direction in which the plurality of discharge ports are arranged than in the portions thereof orthogonal to the row direction.
