    摘要： A rotary head device having a rotary drum and a rotating motor within the rotary drum, with the stator of the motor being supported by a fixed arm attached to a fixed drum or to a fixed drum supporting member. The construction permits the manufacture of the rotary head device using the manufacturing equipment used for conventional rotary shaft type rotary head devices despite the rotary head device being a thin device. In this rotary head device the position of contact of a ground brush and a rotor can be set at the center of rotation or thereabouts, so despite it being a thin device, the sliding speed of the ground brush is low, and hence it is possible to prevent the abrasion of the ground brush and also to prevent increase of the rotative driving torque.

At a tape returning side, a fourth movable slanted pin and a fourth movable tape height regulating guide roller for deriving the magnetic tape from the open space of the tape cassette and winding the magnetic tape on the cylindrical drum a fifth movable slanted pin and a pinch roller which are to be derived from the open space of the tape cassette and a capstan in arranged outside the open space. The movable tape guide members are movable in the common area and a time-shared manner to thereby make the loading mechanism compact.

    摘要： A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus has a chassis, a rotary cylinder mounted on the chassis, and at least one guide base movably disposed around the rotary cylinder. The guide base is provided with a guide member for drawing out a magnetic tape from a tape cassette. The guide member draws out the magnetic tape from the tape cassette, as the guide base is being moved, and winds the magnetic tape around the rotary cylinder so that a predetermined tape passage is defined. The magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus further has a capstan mechanism for driving the magnetic tape to run the same. The capstan mechanism is arranged on the same side of the chassis on which the rotary cylinder is disposed, and has a capstan downwards extending toward the chassis to come into direct contact with the magnetic tape.

    摘要： Embodiments of the invention provide a magnetic disk unit in which there has been adopted a structure fixing a base and a top plate and preventing a deformation by a bimetal effect. In one embodiment, the magnetic disk unit includes a magnetic disk; a head drive mechanism in which is mounted a head accessing the magnetic disk; a base accommodating the magnetic disk and the head drive mechanism, and possessing a flat part, in which a threaded hole has been formed, in a circumference of an opening edge; and a top cover which is formed by a material whose thermal expansion coefficient differs from that of the base, in which there is provided an escape hole, for a screw, position-aligned to the threaded hole of the flat part, and which is attached to the base by the screw penetrating through the threaded hole and the escape hole for the screw. A slip mechanism for reducing a slip friction resistance is provided respectively in a contact portion between the flat part and the top cover, and a contact portion between a head part of the screw and the top cover.

A control IC unit has a first circuit which subjects the rotation to control drive by a first waveform, and a second circuit which subjects the vibration to control drive by a second waveform. Rotation and vibration of a rotating and vibrating unit driven by the first and second motors generates an airflow and output sound by a synthesized output of a first output corresponding to the rotation and a second output corresponding to the vibration. The control IC unit generates a second waveform by using a reversed-phase waveform with respect to the first waveform or the like and suppresses the output sound by control of the first and second waveforms.

    摘要： To suppress pressure fluctuation caused by insertion of arms between disks, which arms support thereon magnetic heads, to reduce disk flutter to thereby reduce disk driving power in a magnetic disk apparatus, there are provided an open space not covered by a shroud, which constitutes a part of a housing structure to cover a side surface of a disk stack, and provided on a downstream side of the arms relative to an airflow moving along surfaces of the disks as the disks rotate, and a channel, which connects a space on an upstream side of the arms and the open space not restricted by the shroud on the downstream side of the arms, the channel being provided with a linear section, which has a rectifying effect on the airflow.
