摘要： A mobile telephone unit which combines operation of a respective portable mobile telephone and a communication unit. The mobile telephone unit includes at least one portable telephone, a communication unit and a buffer unit. The communication unit includes an external connection terminal, a radio transmitter/receiver, a baseband processor, a communication controller and a handset. The buffer unit mounts at least one portable mobile telephone. The buffer unit includes a first buffer unit connector which is connectable to the external connection terminal of the communication unit, a second buffer connector which connects to a connector of a respective portable mobile telephone mounted on the buffer unit, an identifying mechanism for identifying the communication conditions of a respective portable mobile telephone mounted on the buffer unit, and a control signal transmitting mechanism for transmitting the communication conditions identified by the identifying mechanism to the communication controller of the communication unit. The communication controller is responsive to the transmitted communication conditions and adjusts the communication conditions of the communication unit so that a respective portable mobile telephone mounted on the buffer unit can communicate through the communication unit.

摘要： In a first aspect of the invention, when it is expected to disconnect a booster during a call, the station class mark is changed to that applicable when a portable telephone is used as an independent unit in accordance with a key input from the user before the initiation of the call. In a second aspect of the invention, the telephone number of the remote party is stored in a memory during a call. When a connection or disconnection of a booster is detected, the call is terminated, and a redialing operation is automatically performed using the stored telephone number. In a third aspect of the invention, when the connection of a booster is detected during a call, an instruction is given to the booster to operate in a portable telephone mode. In a fourth aspect of the invention, when the connection or disconnection of a booster is detected during a call, a request to change the station class mark is sent to the base station.

摘要： A first ID code ESN (electronic serial number) for apparatus identification and a second ID code MIN (mobile identification number) such as a telephone number are stored beforehand in a non-volatile memory of a mobile telephone terminal. The mobile telephone terminal transmits these ID codes to a network at the time of communication, and whether or not this set of first and second ID codes has been registered is discriminated on the network side. Communication is allowed if the ID codes have been registered. In order to prevent unlawful use of the mobile telephone terminal in mobile communication, (1) the first ID code is encrypted on the side of a writing device and then inputted to the mobile telephone terminal when the first ID code is written in the non-volatile memory of the mobile telephone terminal, (2) the mobile telephone terminal writes the encrypted first ID code in the non-volatile memory as is, and (3) the encrypted first ID code is decoded at the time of communication and transmitted to the network along with the second ID code.

摘要： A portable radio communication device has an antenna which can be extended for use and retracted for storage, and can transmit a signal at the same level of electric energy when the antenna is stored as when the antenna is extended. When the antenna is retracted and stored, the stored condition is detected by a detecting switch. In response to a detected signal from the detecting switch, a transmission output controller produces an increased transmission output control signal to increase the level of electric energy of the signal to be transmitted which is higher than a normal level of electric energy of signals transmitted from the antenna. When the increased transmission output control signal is generated, a power amplifier amplifies a signal to be transmitted which is supplied from a transmission signal generator, and supplies the amplified signal to the antenna. Therefore, even when the antenna is stored, it can radiate the signal at the same level of electric energy as when the antenna is extended. The antenna comprises an antenna which operates as a loaded antenna when it is extended and as a helical antenna when it is stored.
